Top QB Sleepers for 2024 Fantasy Football Season

The NFL season is officially a month away! For fantasy football fans, this is, truly, the most wonderful time of the year. Training Camp is wrapping up, and fans are starting to understand what their favorite team’s roster will look like heading into the season.

This is also the time of year when fantasy football leagues start drafting, which tends to breed intense competition between family, friends, and of course, co-workers. We want to help you succeed in your drafts this season, which is why we’re starting a series on sleepers that will launch throughout the week.

For our intents and purposes, a “sleeper” will be defined as a player whose ADP is beyond the first 100 players taken. With these sleepers in mind, hopefully, you’ll be able to hit on the best players early, and when your league mates are struggling in the later rounds, you will be covered!

Let’s get into today’s sleepers, which are all from the quarterback position. A quick note on ADP before we start: All ADP will be taken from Underdog’s best ball drafts, as they have the most reliable and complete data due to months of drafting.

Brock Purdy (Current Underdog ADP 110.8, QB 12)

Brock Purdy might only be entering his third year in the NFL, but he’s already achieved so much. He brought the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl last year, and the NFC Championship the year prior.

Purdy has played well to this point, but it’s hard to deny that he has some of the best weapons in the league, if not the best. With that in mind, we love the value we can get him in drafts, as he is currently going as the 12th quarterback off the board.

If this ADP persists into drafts in late August, you’ll likely be able to wait until round eight or later to get your QB, allowing you to fill out your roster with other positions in the meantime.

Jared Goff (Current Underdog ADP 125.3, QB 16)

Are we missing something here? Goff finished the 2023 season as QB7, scoring more points than Patrick Mahomes. Similarly to Purdy, Goff has a stacked supporting cast around him, giving him plenty of options to throw to every week.

We are very confident in his ability to finish as a top-10 quarterback this year, and if you’re able to get him this late, he should be viewed as a much-draft player this season.

Waiting on QB might not seem fun, but on paper, this is the year to do it. Goff has really come into his own since moving to Detroit and he's a solid choice for your fantasy team.

Justin Fields (Current Underdog ADP 197.7, QB 27)

We’ll start by saying Fields’ ADP is going to go up in the next few weeks, as reports from the Pittsburgh Steelers camp indicate that he is playing much better than advertised. It seemed like Russell Wilson was going to get the starting job from the get-go, but now, that doesn’t feel like it's set in stone.

Fields is impressing his coaches and teammates, and now, has a legitimate chance to be the guy in Pittsburgh. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next several weeks, but with his rushing upside, Fields could be worth a flier at the end of drafts this year.

If you go with a top five QB this year, Fields should be who you target as a late round pick.
