A casino pit supervisor at Bloomberry Resorts’ Solaire Resort North in Quezon City has been arrested after allegedly crediting nearly 10,000 fraudulent loyalty points to VIP patron accounts that were never backed by real gameplay. The Quezon City Police District said an internal review flagged suspicious activity on player records, leading to the arrest of the 33-year-old employee, identified only as “Jovim” or “Jovin.”

Investigators say roughly 9,900 points were inserted over a span of about two hours, a total that could have been enough to unlock elevated rewards and membership perks without any of the wagering activity normally required to earn them.
At Solaire, status points determine a player’s tier level within the resort’s loyalty structure, which runs from entry-level Pearl membership up through Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond. Higher tiers carry stronger earning multipliers and added perks such as dining discounts, access to high-limit gaming areas, and dedicated VIP service lines — all incentives that make tier status valuable enough to manipulate.
Security staff at the property said they moved after the supervisor allegedly admitted to carrying out the point manipulation without authorization from his employer. CCTV footage reportedly captured him entering the patrons’ account numbers and adding the credits during a period when the gaming floor under his watch was inactive. He is now facing a complaint for qualified theft under the Revised Penal Code, a charge tied to the abuse of trust inherent in his supervisory role.
