Atlantic City’s nine casino hotels posted $304.2 million in brick-and-mortar casino win for July, according to figures released Friday by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. That total is up 7.1% from the $284.1 million reported in July 2025, and it marks the resort’s best single-month casino revenue performance for the month of July since 2012.

The results land at what’s traditionally the busiest stretch of the calendar for the Jersey Shore gambling hub, when boardwalk foot traffic, summer tourism, and full-capacity hotel bookings all combine to push casino floors toward their yearly peak. Brian Tyrrell, director of Stockton University’s Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism, said the July numbers represented the best single month of brick-and-mortar gross revenue since August 2025 and the second-highest such total in more than a decade.

iGaming Keeps Setting the Pace

While in-person casino win grabbed the headline, New Jersey’s online casino sector kept doing the heavy lifting statewide. The state’s licensed internet casinos combined for $276.9 million in July revenue, a new all-time monthly record that edged past the previous high of $276.3 million set back in May. That total was also up 12% year-over-year compared to the $247.3 million online operators generated in July 2025.

FanDuel Casino remained the market leader by a wide margin, pulling in $61.7 million for roughly 22% of the state’s iGaming market, followed by DraftKings at $48.1 million and BetMGM at $34.6 million. Newer entrants made noise too — Golden Nugget’s online arm jumped 53.1% year-over-year to $12.2 million, while bet365 grew 78% to $4.3 million, showing the online market still has room for smaller operators to carve out gains even as the space matures. Through seven months of 2026, statewide iGaming revenue sits at nearly $1.87 billion, up 14.5% from the same stretch of 2025.

A Strong Summer, With a Sports Betting Wrinkle

The combination of rising casino win and record online gaming revenue continues a pattern that’s defined 2026 for New Jersey’s gambling market: land-based and digital properties both grinding out growth, even as sports wagering revenue has been the one soft spot most months this year due to bettor-friendly outcomes in major events. Bettors chasing value in a busy summer sports calendar can compare live lines across major sportsbooks using EatWatchBet’s odds hub before placing a wager.

For Atlantic City’s casino operators, the July numbers reinforce a broader 2026 trend: even with sports betting proving unpredictable month to month, growth in the core casino floor and the online casino vertical has been enough to keep the market’s overall trajectory pointed upward through the peak summer stretch.
