The Memphis Grizzlies historically head into the NBA All-Star break on a high note. Expect them to put the Clippers on upset alert tonight as they look to win on back-to-back nights out West.
Elsewhere, Mikal Bridges and the Knicks look to utilize their big lineup and versatility on offense to defend home court against the Garden killer in Trae Young. Look for Mikal’s assist total as the best prop to target this Wednesday night.
Mikal Bridges and the Knicks are hitting their mid-season stride, winning eight of their last ten games. The Knicks iron-man wing has also found his rhythm within the offense, scoring nine 20-point games since the new year and coming alive as a playmaker at times when the offense turns stagnant.
Bridges has tossed three or more dimes in five of their last eight games including five against Indiana on Tuesday night. New York will host an Atlanta team tonight that allows around 4 assists per game to the small forward position.
Since joining the Knicks, Mikal has dished 5/2/4 assists against Atlanta with New York winning the most recent of those contests. With quick ball movement and constant cuts, I’m expecting Mikal to pick up a few extra open looks as this game balloons towards the ‘over’ with Trae Young back in the Garden.

Dallas looks flat in the aftermath of the Luka Doncic trade. The truth of the matter is they might be cursed. After what looked to finish as an incredible season opener for Anthony Davis in a Mavs uniform, he went down with an injury and will come back… who knows when?
To make matters worse, Daniel Gafford has now been ruled out for the next few weeks. Nico Harrison and Jason Kidd will look to P.J. Washington to potentially save the season. It isn’t the most ideal situation for this team, who sit just two games above .500.
With that being said, Washington is coming off a game where he only played 16 minutes against Houston and although a questionable mark is tagged on him heading into this contest, the Mavericks love running the opening play for P.J. and outside of his shortened Saturday game, he drained four 3-pointers in the two games prior.
Against a Warriors team that will shoot a ton of threes, expect Washington to have the green light tonight in a Western Conference duel.

The Memphis Grizzlies are 7-1 this season on zero days of rest. Taylor Jenkins and assistant coach Tuomas Iisalo (a brilliant European basketball mind) have their guys playing extremely hard. No player on Memphis is averaging more than 30.3 MPG, while they have had 14 players playing 10 or more MPG consistently throughout the season.
Not to mention, rookie Jaylen Wells is a force on defense, picking up superstars 80 feet from the basket on any given night. The Clippers ended their three-game losing streak against the Jazz on Saturday and will be rusty coming out the gate tonight against a Grizzlies team that has won five of their last six, including a massive victory last night against Phoenix.
Memphis won their last two games before the All-Star break last season, their final game before the break in 2022-23, and had a six-game win streak before losing their final game before ASB in 2021-22. Jenkins and Memphis head into the break on a high note and I think history repeats itself against the Clippers tonight before they have a week off.
