Happy Thursday, everyone! We hope you rode along with us on last night’s small NBA slate. The player prop sweep was within our grasp, but Luka Doncic had to put up a bucket in the final seconds of the game, hitting the over on his line of 37 points. It was a bad beat for us in what was shaping up to be a great night on Underdog.
While this may have been disappointing, we move forward to tonight’s action! Eight games are taking place in what should be an exciting evening of NBA showdowns. That said, here are our three favorite player props from these games, all of which can be found on Underdog. Best of luck!
Did anyone else have the Minnesota Timberwolves on their 2023-2024 NBA bingo card? This team is playing far better than many fans anticipated, as they are currently the best team in the Western Conference. It felt like the Timberwolves would drop off in production after a fast start, but they have kept their feet on the gas.
One of the biggest reasons for the Timberwolves’ success has been the two-headed monster of Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert. Both are playing very well this season, but Towns has especially been on a tear lately.
He is averaging 22.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game during the month of December, a trend we anticipate will continue tonight. Look for Towns to record a double-double against the Dallas Mavericks tonight, as this game should come down to the wire, leaving Towns to play deep into the fourth quarter.
Who knew all the Memphis Grizzlies needed was to get Ja Morant back into the lineup? This team hasn’t lost since Morant returned from his suspension, entering tonight’s matchup with the Denver Nuggets on a four-game winning streak.
Morant has been the spark plug this team has been missing all year, scoring at least 28 points in three of these four games. He should have his fingerprints all over this Nuggets game, hopefully hitting his over on points by halftime.
Steph Curry’s play has kept him in the conversation as one of the NBA’s top players. He averages 27.9 points per game on the season, the seventh-highest total of any player.
While this might lead some to take the over on his points total tonight, we’re going to go the other direction. Curry has been stifled by the Miami Heat throughout his career, only averaging 25.1 points against them in 21 career games.
With that being said, give us the under in tonight’s contest.
