Top NBA Player Prop Picks for Wednesday, January 17

This Wednesday night, capitalize on Paolo Banchero and Collin Sexton flying under the radar, as their prop bets have a great chance on hitting in favorable matchups.

Check out the rest of our NBA player prop picks for January 17 below. Good luck, folks!

G Killian Hayes (DET) UNDER 14.5 PTS+REB+AST

Killian Hayes and the league-worst Pistons face up against the league’s top defense in Minnesota tonight. Not only will this be a difficult game to find assists in, but the recent emergence of Jaden Ivey will limit Hayes’ upside as a playmaker.

Off one night of rest, Hayes has shot 35% from the field and less than 23% from beyond the arc while struggling to find any success as the Pistons’ lead ball handler. Against Edwards, McDaniels, and that tough defensive front, expect Killian to struggle once again.

C Victor Wembanyama (SAS) OVER 9.5 REB

Wembanyama is looking like that generational-type prospect we once expected him to look like. The French big man has scored 26 points in his previous two outings, while averaging 11 RPG in his last five.

With the Celtics allowing 40 RPG to opponents over their last three (2nd-worst in NBA), Wemby should have plenty of rebounding opportunities on both sides of the court. He’s hauled in 2.2 ORPG over his last five.

G Donovan Mitchell (CLE) OVER 33.5 PTS

Although Cleveland lost their first two games after Mitchell’s return from injury, they have won five straight with Dono starting. In those five games, he’s averaged nearly 29 PPG and looked much better than earlier in the season.

With the Bucks allowing 120 PPG which ranks in the bottom half of the association, expect Donovan to produce another big night with a favorable matchup opposite Lillard.

F Paolo Banchero (ORL) OVER 0.5 DD (2x)

Paolo Banchero continues to fly under the radar as one of the better wing playmakers in the NBA. The young superstar has dominated against Atlanta in two games this season, averaging 26 PPG and 9 RPG.

With Trae Young and the Hawks attempting the 6th-most 3-pointers per game, look for Paolo to have plenty of rebounding opportunities in this one. The former ROTY has put up 3 double-doubles in eight games in 2024.

G Collin Sexton (UTA) OVER 19.5 PTS

Collin Sexton has found his groove with the Utah Jazz. Playing just 22 MPG over his last five, the spark plug has averaged an absurd 23.6 PPG on 59% shooting from behind the arc.

With Sexton playing 4 MPG more in Jazz wins this season, look for Coach Hardy to play the red-hot guard against a vulnerable Warriors defense.
