Top 5 NBA Player Prop Bets for Wednesday, December 6

More than a month into the NBA’s regular season, bettors have a good grip on what type of evening players should have on any given night against their opponent. Wednesday’s action for the NBA offers several compelling matchups that bettors should review.

Read on to find out the top five NBA player prop bets for Wednesday, December 6. Good luck with all of your action this evening!

Cleveland Cavaliers SG Donovan Mitchell OVER 27.5 Points

Cleveland SG Donovan Mitchell has been on fire this season, scoring 27.1 points per outing while knocking down just below 45% of his field goals. The seven-year veteran is just off his career highs in 2022-23 and currently ranks 10th in the NBA in scoring this season.

Mitchell and the Cavaliers face off against Orlando Magic. In three games last season, Mitchell torched the Magic for 91 points, posting more than 30 points in two of those three matchups.

While Mitchell scored only nine points in a preseason contest against Orlando, expect the Cavaliers’ leading scorer to post at least 28 points in his team’s game Wednesday.

Detroit Pistons PG Cade Cunningham UNDER 2.5 3-Point Field Goals

The Detroit Pistons are easily the NBA’s worst team, currently mired in a 17-game losing streak. That’s not due to Cade Cunningham, the team’s 2021 first round draft pick and point guard, however.

Cunningham is averaging career highs in points (22.4), field goal percentage (41.6%) and three-point field goal percentage (35%). Despite having a career-year, expect Cunningham to make less than three 3-point field goals against the Memphis Grizzlies.

In 14 of his team’s 20 games this season, the Pistons’ PG has missed the mark to cover this prop bet. Although Cunningham has covered in back-to-back games, the Grizzlies will prevent Detroit’s star from covering Wednesday.

Minnesota Timberwolves C Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 35.5 Pts + Reb + Ast

In his ninth season, Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns has the Timberwolves off to the best start of his career at 15-4. The former top pick of the 2015 NBA draft is second on the team this season in both rebounds (9.0) and points (22.2) while also chipping in 3.1 assists per game.

Against the San Antonio Spurs, expect Towns to cover the 35.5 points, rebounds and assists total player prop bet. In their first matchup this season, Towns recorded a double-double with 29 points and 12 rebounds in 34 minutes, leading the T’wolves to a 117-110 victory over the Spurs.

Towns will do more of the same Wednesday to reward bettors who select this player prop bet.

Toronto Raptors C Jakob Poeltl OVER 9.5 Rebounds

In his second stint with the Toronto, Raptors C Jakob Poeltl is quietly having one of his best seasons. Poeltl leads the team in field goal percent (72.9%) and is second on the team in rebounds per game (8.5).

His 11.4 point per game is fifth-best, but the 7’ 0” center is doing so in just over 26 minutes per outing. In 11 home games for the Raptors this season, Poeltl has hit double-digit rebounding totals in seven contests.

With Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo already scratched for this contest, expect Poeltl to easily cover the 9.5 total rebounds needed for a successful player prop bet.

Charlotte Hornets F Brandon Miller OVER 14.5 Points

After being selected with the second pick in the 2023 NBA draft, Hornets F Brandon Miller is beginning to reward Charlotte’s management for selecting him. Miller’s adjustment to the NBA is evident in his past six contests as the rookie forward has scored 14 or more points in all but one game, a mark he hit or exceeded only twice in his first 10 contests this year.

Expect Miller to continue showcasing his growth against Chicago by scoring at least 15 points Wednesday. In their last 10 games, the Bulls have surrendered 23.94 points per contest to the forward position while also yielding 11.89 rebounds per game.

Miller could finish the night with his first career double-double, a secondary wager bettors could consider against Chicago.
