It wasn’t pretty, but the Minnesota Timberwolves gutted out a 102-97 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday to take a 2-1 series lead. The T’wolves used a 9-2 fourth-quarter run to take the lead for good.
Golden State is now in a do-or-die situation. Without star Steph Curry, the Warriors cannot afford to fall into a 3-1 deficit with the series returning to Minnesota after Monday’s Game 4.

Golden State Warriors PF Jonathan Kuminga UNDER 17.5 Points
The unheralded star of Saturday’s game was fourth-year power forward Jonathan Kuminga. The 6-foot-7 player came off the bench to score 30 points in 36 minutes, his best performance during the 2025 calendar year.
Much of his ability to find open shots was due to Minnesota’s game plan attempting to slow down Jimmy Butler. Kuminga benefited from that attention, making 11 of his 18 field goals, including a 3-of-4 performance from behind the three-point line.
Bettors should not expect a repeat performance on Monday. The Timberwolves will correct their defensive errors, preventing Kuminga from scoring 18 or more points against in Game 4.
Minnesota Timberwolves PF Julius Randle OVER 27.5 Pts + Rebs
Minnesota made an interesting trade last offseason, swapping out Karl-Anthony Towns for Julius Randle. That switch has worked well for both teams, especially the Timberwolves. Randle recorded below-average stats, but the three-time NBA All-Star still helped Minnesota secure a spot in the Western Conference semifinals for the second consecutive year.
Randle has been invaluable in this round, too. The 6-foot-9 forward is averaging 22.0 points, 9.7 assists, and 6.7 rebounds against the Warriors. There’s little reason to believe he’ll slow down against Golden State in Game 4, and bettors should expect him to cover this combo prop wager.
Minnesota Timberwolves SG Anthony Edwards OVER 1.5 Steals
Minnesota guard Anthony Edwards is known for his ability to score, finishing fourth in the league this year with 27.6 points per game. He’s also an underrated defender, recording 1.2 steals per contest in 2024-2025.
He’s stepped that up in the postseason. Through eight games, Edwards has stolen 12 passes. The 6-foot-4 star had his run of recording three steals in consecutive games snapped on Saturday when he finished without a single stolen pass. He’ll redeem himself on Monday, recording at least two steals against the Warriors.

Best Bet: Golden State (+5.5)
The Warriors have their backs against the wall while missing their 37-year-old star point guard. Entering the postseason, the Warriors were 7-5 without Curry in the lineup, but 1-2 since Butler joined the team.
Minnesota is in the driver’s seat, and the T’wolves should continue holding onto that position. Bettors should expect the Warriors to keep Game 4 close, but Minnesota will pull out a narrow victory on Monday.
