Happy Thursday, everyone! It’s a great day to be a sports fan, with the Olympics happening all day, and the NBA is coming back after the All-Star Game and break. There are a lot of great games going on tonight, and it was tough to figure out which one we wanted to target as our favorite of the evening.
But we landed on the matchup between the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs, which actually takes place in Austin, not San Antonio. Victor Wembanyama didn’t play in this matchup last year due to his injury, but he’s now back and better than ever, so it should be a fun one, to say the least. With all of that in mind, let’s get into our favorite player props from this one, all of which can be found on Underdog!
Royce O’Neale OVER 13.5 Points & Assists
Royce O’Neale has been an excellent asset for the Suns this year. He’s never going to be their top scorer, but he adds a lot of value in that area and as a distributor. O’Neale has had 14+ combined points and rebounds in four straight games and has double-digits in six of his past eight games.
The Spurs are a tough out for any team, but if the Suns want to be competitive, they’ll need role players like O’Neale to do their part and contribute in these two areas.
Dylan Harper OVER 7.5 Rebounds & Assists
Dylan Harper didn’t have a ton of minutes to start the season for the Spurs, but they’ve incrementally increased his workload as the year has gone on, and it’s turned into great production. Harper is now an integral part of his team, and even with Wembanyama on a minutes restriction, the team is headed on a positive trajectory with his contributions in mind.
He’s had 8+ combined rebounds and assists in four straight home games and in four of his past five games in general. Harper is on a roll, and we think that trend will continue tonight, especially in his first game back from the break, where he should have energy and enthusiasm.
De’Aaron Fox OVER 23.5 Points & Assists
We don’t know why, exactly, but De’Aaron Fox LOVES playing against the Suns. He’s been masterful in his past nine meetings with them, having at least 24 combined points and assists in each.
He’s also achieved this in four of his past six overall games, so it’s a trend that we’re more than comfortable in hopping on board with.
