Pistons vs. Thunder Player Props and Predictions for April 2

Happy Wednesday! If you’re anything like us, you might be getting antsy for the Final Four matchups this weekend, looking forward to what should be two awesome games. While the Final Four provides a lot of excitement and entertainment, the NBA is also nearing the end of the regular season, and teams are still jockeying for positioning heading into the playoffs.

Games mean a little bit more at this time of year, and we’re expecting big things from a few key matchups tonight, including the clash between the Detroit Pistons and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder have already clinched the top seed in the Western Conference by a wide margin, but the Pistons are looking to solidify their standing as a top team in the East, wanting to avoid the Play-In games if at all possible.

With that in mind, tonight’s game should be a good one, and we’ve got you covered with our favorite player props from Underdog. After going a perfect 3/3 in the Timberwolves/Nuggets game last night, let’s see if we can put another sweep together and keep the momentum going!

Live player props data coming soon for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander UNDER 33.5 Points

It feels dangerous to bet against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander against any opponent, but 33.5 points is a bit too rich a line for us to touch, especially since the Thunder are 13.5-point favorites. The Pistons might need a win in this one to maintain their positioning, but the Thunder are a very, very good basketball team.

We believe SGA could have a great first half, but if the Thunder take a commanding lead, he’ll likely ride the bench for most, if not all, of the fourth quarter. With that in mind, we’re taking the under on his points total, believing he’ll have limited opportunity to hit this number.

Live player props data coming soon for Malik Beasley.

Malik Beasley OVER 15.5 Points

Malik Beasley has been awesome lately. He put up 27 points in the Pistons’ recent loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves and added 19 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers in their game before that.

With Cade Cunningham likely out for another game tonight, Beasley will need to take over in the scoring column to give the Pistons a chance in this one and shouldn’t have a problem logging 16 points by the end of the game.

Live player props data coming soon for Ausar Thompson.

Ausar Thompson OVER 5.5 Rebounds

With Cunningham out, the Pistons will also have to rely on Ausar Thompson a lot tonight. He’s been an efficient scorer over their past three games, scoring at least 14 in each of them.

While he could put up some big numbers in the points column, we’re more inclined to believe that he’ll have a strong evening on the glass as well, giving the Pistons an extra edge in that area. He and Jalen Duran should have a field day in the post, especially when Chet Holmgren isn’t in the game, resulting in at least six rebounds.
