Happy Tuesday, sports fans! If you paid attention to the NBA last night, you’d know that there was one awesome game between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets that came down to the wire, and one matchup between the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers that was… forgettable, to say the least.
While last night might not have been the most exciting slate, there are three games on the docket tonight that should provide some entertainment and excitement. We’re focusing our efforts on the clash between the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons, putting our favorite Underdog props together from the action.
We went 2-3 on our picks from the Miami-Cleveland game last night, so let’s improve and sweep the board tonight!
We want to start by saying that yes, we know it might be hard to take the over on someone’s point total when their line is set at 29.5 points. However, Jalen Brunson is no ordinary player, and he’s been nothing short of spectacular all series.
Brunson has scored at least 30 points in every game this series, putting the Knicks on his back to give them a 3-1 lead in the series. The Knicks rely on him to put up big numbers and considering that we expect New York to close out the series tonight, look for Brunson to be a major part of that winning formula.
While we’re pretty confident in Brunson’s ability to hit the over on his points line, the same cannot be said for Karl Anthony-Towns and his rebounding line. He’s only had 10+ boards in one game this series, not being as brash on the boards as he was during the regular season.
Thankfully for the Knicks, they haven’t needed him to be awesome in this area to get to this point in the series, and we expect KAT to save his best efforts for the Boston Celtics in the second round.
For some reason, this line feels far too high for Cade Cunningham tonight, especially in a game that we’re projecting the Pistons to lose. Cunningham is the catalyst for success on this Pistons team, and if he doesn’t have a spectacular night, it’s difficult for his team to come away with a win.
He’s only had 27+ points in one game this series, and considering that was the Pistons’ only win thus far, we’re fading him until we see that firepower again.
