Nuggets vs Thunder: Odds, 3 Player Props, and Best Bet

Over the last five years, the NBA has pushed for less travel to reduce the wear and tear on their players. That’s one reason that tonight’s contest between the Denver Nuggets (41-23) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (53-11) will mark the second game in a row between these two teams.

Denver is just 5-4 in their past nine games. After dropping Sunday’s game to the Oklahoma City, the Nuggets are looking to avoid their first back-to-back losses since early January when the team dropped three straight games.

Oklahoma City has won nine of the 10 games the NBA franchise has played since the All-Star break. The Thunder’s lone loss was to the Minnesota Timberwolves two weeks ago, the third time in eight days those two franchises had played.

Should fans expect a repeat of Sunday’s results in tonight’s game? We’ll cover that and our three favorite NBA player prop bets from the Nuggets and Thunder matchup on Monday.

Live player props data coming soon for Nikola Jokic.

Denver Nuggets C Nikola Jokic UNDER 26.5 Points

It may seem repetitive, but Denver's big Nikola Jokic continues to dominate the NBA. His averages are all within the top three in the league as he’s recording 28.8 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 10.5 assists per night for the Nuggets.

In the two teams’ previous matchups, Jokic has yet to exceed 24 points – a total he reached in Sunday’s outing. While he’s finding other ways to contribute, the Nuggets star has not been a dominant score against Oklahoma City. Expect a similar result on Monday as he fails to cover this player prop bet.

Live player props data coming soon for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Oklahoma City Thunder G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 44.5 Pts + Reb + Ast

Oklahoma City has thrived since the arrival of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The MVP candidate is averaging posting an NBA-best 32.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per night for the Thunder.

During his past four games, Gilgeous-Alexander has recorded more than 43 points, rebounds, and assists combined. On Sunday, he exploded for 53 total tallies in these three categories. There’s little reason for bettors not to expect him to reach at least 45 combined in his rematch against Denver, covering this player prop bet.

Live player props data coming soon for Isaiah Hartenstein.

Oklahoma City Thunder C Isaiah Hartenstein OVER 10.5 Rebounds

With Oklahoma City young stud Chet Holmgren unavailable, the Thunder have turned to veteran Isaiah Hartenstein to offer inside support. In his first year with Oklahoma City, the seven-footer is averaging career highs with 10.9 points and 11.3 rebounds per night.

In four of his team’s past five outings, Hartenstein has recorded a double-double, notching at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in those four outings. That includes last night’s victory over the Nuggets as he finished with 11 rebounds. Bettors should expect him to finish the contest with at least that total on Monday, covering this player prop bet.

Best Bet: Thunder (-9.5)

After Oklahoma City put on a show Sunday night against the Nuggets, there’s really no reason to believe tonight’s results will be different. Bettors should expect the Thunder to close out this two-game set with another double-digit winning margin on Monday night. Let's lay the points with confidence here!
