Happy Thursday, everyone! If you were paying attention to last night’s NBA action, you’d know that the Boston Celtics took care of business, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Dallas Mavericks also got one step closer to the Western Conference Finals, taking down the Oklahoma City Thunder to go up 3-2 in the series.
Tonight, the Denver Nuggets are looking to join the Celtics to clinch the second of four conference final spots. They’re up 3-2 on the Minnesota Timberwolves, a team that is trying desperately to stay in the postseason. We are certainly hoping this series goes to seven games, as it has been a fun one to this point.
With that in mind, we’re also rooting for individual players to put up massive performances. Let’s take a peek at our favorite Underdog props from this evening’s action, hoping to hit it big!
Do you really think Anthony Edwards is going to put up a dud in an elimination game? We certainly aren’t. Edwards has been a great leader for this team during the season, and continues to be a spark plug for this team on both sides of the ball.
He has displayed a lot of intensity when he’s on the floor, and Edwards isn’t one to back down without a fight. With that in mind, we’re riding the over on his point total in this one. We would even take this line at 33.5 points, as we’re confident Edwards is getting at least 35 tonight.
Jamal Murray has been riding the struggle bus throughout the series. He’s only eclipsed the 20 point mark in one game during this series, which has been frustrating to his teammates and the fanbase as a whole.
Murray is supposed to be the Robin to Nikola Jokic’s Batman, but, at least through five games, he’s been practically non-existent. With that in mind, we’re fading his point total tonight.
If someone’s going to have big game, it’ll be Jokic, at least based on what has happened thus far.
We’re riding with Christian Braun again tonight. He’s a fantastic role player for this team and can provide some points in tight spots when necessary.
If Murray struggles to score like we predict, the Nuggets could turn to Braun to come off the bench, continuing to play well in a limited role.
