We pause March Madness as we look at the NBA Wednesday slate. The Denver Nuggets haven’t lost back-to-back games at home all season long. With the Bucks coming into Mile High, take Jamal Murray and Denver to take down Milwaukee without Damian Lillard.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers are trending in completely different directions. With the Lakers' defense struggling over the last week, expect Andrew Nembhard to have himself a game as a scorer and playmaker.

Andrew Nembhard | Over 14.5 Points/Assists | |
Andrew Nembhard | Under 14.5 Points/Assists |
Nembhard and the Pacers are riding high on a 5-game win streak. They take on the Lakers at home tonight with L.A. losing three in a row by 29, 31, and 12 points, respectively. With the Lakers' defense extremely suspect in the 1st and 3rd quarters over the last week or so, I believe this will be an Andrew Nembhard game for Indiana.
Nembhard has been relatively quiet during the Pacers' win streak in regard to scoring the ball, with 12/22/9/5/6 points. However, he’s making a difference as a playmaker, averaging close to six assists in March and 5.2 APG over his L5. A struggling Lakers defense should have trouble stopping the Indiana combo guard en route to a 15+ PA outing.

Jamal Murray | Under 2.5 Threes |
With no Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray knows he has to shoot it from deep at a high rate to stay in ball games. Murray has gone 8/15 from deep in his L2, including 39 points on the road in Houston on Sunday night.
Facing a Milwaukee team tonight that will be without Damian Lillard and with the Nuggets most likely without Nikola Jokic, I’m taking Jamal Murray to have another big night as he gears up towards the playoffs. The Bucks allow 13.5 3PM per game, and with Denver playing at an extremely high pace, Murray should take six to seven threes in this one.
Saturday, April 19 at 3:30 PM | Spread | Money | Total |
Los Angeles Clippers | +2.5 (-112) | +120 | O 224.5 (-109) |
Denver Nuggets | -2.5 (-110) | -137 | U 224 (-110) |
Lillard’s injury is a massive blow to the Bucks, especially as they mentally prepare for a grueling playoff race in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee is coming off a last-second loss in Phoenix and has stumbled since the start of March, going 4-6 over their L10.
Facing a Denver team tonight that should be near full strength minus Jokic, I have Denver bouncing back after their loss to Chicago at home to get back into the win column. Denver hasn’t lost back-to-back games at home all season.
