March Madness starts in two short days, a sporting event that captures the attention of fans for a few weeks. The next few days will be filled with the consumption of this event, as fans inevitably watch their brackets fall short of perfection.
While we are excited to watch the Madness ensue, there’s still NBA action going on, which includes tonight’s four-game slate. There might not be many games this evening, but the league made up for it by having some fantastic matchups. We’ve put our favorite Underdog player props from the action, so let’s dive into our top picks!
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Jayson Tatum | Over 24.5 Points | |
Jayson Tatum | Under 25.5 Points |
Jayson Tatum is having an awesome season, averaging over 27 points per game and continuing to lead the Boston Celtics as one of the best teams in the league. He seemed to take the NBA Finals and Olympics criticism to heart, playing like the star that he has showcased at many moments throughout his career.
While it might be easy to take the over on his points total as a result of his great season, we’re fading him in this area against the Brooklyn Nets. He’s struggled to score big against them throughout his career, scoring less than 25 PPG, and if the Celtics get out to a decent lead early, he could see less playing time and limit his chances of scoring 29+ points.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Kyle Kuzma | Over 20.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists | |
Kyle Kuzma | Under 20.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists |
Milwaukee Bucks fans weren’t sure what to think when Kyle Kuzma came to town. He was such a promising player early on in his career, but the past few years have left something to be desired.
Kuzma has been a strong role player for the Bucks in his short tenure with the team but considering he’s on the same squad as Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, his statistical ceiling is capped.
He’s struggled to put up big PRA numbers on this team, and considering the difficult matchup with the Golden State Warriors tonight, we’re fading this total, thinking it’ll be more of a Giannis and Lillard show than anything in this game.
It’s rare for us to take so many unders in one night, but much like Kuzma and Tatum, we’re fading Donovan Mitchell tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers. It doesn’t look like Evan Mobley will play in this game, which instantly caps Mitchell’s ceiling, at least according to historical precedent.
Mitchell has only scored more than 25 points once in the six games he’s played this season without Mobley, an indication that Batman needs Robin to be successful, so to speak. The veteran guard has had some off nights this year, and considering Mobley’s status, we believe the Cavaliers will get their scoring from someone else, taking the under on Mitchell’s points.
