Happy Thursday, everyone! We hope you’re safe and having a fantastic week, as the past few days have provided a lot of entertainment from some of our favorite sports teams. NBA action has been exciting leading up to the All-Star Break, and we have just a few weeks left until those festivities.
With that being said, teams are trying to put their best foot forward in the weeks leading up to ASG, hoping to have momentum for the second half of the season. There are five games on the slate to tune into tonight, and we’re excited to talk about our favorite player props from the action, all of which can be found on various sportsbooks. Let’s get to it!
Donovan Mitchell is on a tear lately. After some frustratingly low-scoring games earlier in the month, Mitchell has dropped 30+ points in five of his past seven games, a lot of times, putting the Cleveland Cavaliers on his back from a scoring perspective.
The Cavaliers are on a bit of a losing skid, dropping three of their past five games, which is unusual territory for a team that started the season with a 15-0 record. We like their odds of getting back on track and starting another winning streak, and Mitchell should be a big part of that, logging at least 26 points in the process.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
LeBron James | Over 45.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists | |
LeBron James | Under 45.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists | |
LeBron James | Over 40.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists | |
LeBron James | Under 40.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists |
LeBron James might be 40, but that’s not stopping him from having a fantastic season. He’s averaging 23.8 points per game, 7.6 rebounds, and 9.0 assists, and is top 30 in the league in these three statistical categories. Father Time hasn’t caught up to James yet, and he continues to defy the odds by playing this well into his 40s.
James has achieved several big games this season, but we expect a lighter night out of him during this matchup against the Washington Wizards. The Los Angeles Lakers are not only favored in this game, but we expect them to blow the Wizards out of the water, giving James fewer opportunities to log points, rebounds, and assists.
He’s averaged 41 PRA against them throughout his career, and with the line set at 45.5, it’s a bit too tall of a task for us, which is why we’re taking the under.
This line feels a bit too low for Collin Sexton. Sexton is the picture of consistency for the Utah Jazz, a player who tends to get undervalued in everyday sports media. He is one of their most consistent scoring threats, even in losses, which gives us confidence in his scoring line against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.
Sexton has achieved 20+ points in eight of his last ten games, which includes a 30-point outing against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. Sexton might not have a 30-point upside every night, but we believe 20-points shouldn’t be an issue tonight and are going with his over as a result.
