It's Friday, which means we have a loaded slate of NBA games. Tonight's 11-game slate includes and ESPN double-header that features the Lakers at the Spurs and Kicks at the Suns.
With our Friday night player props, we're betting on LeBron and Kuzma in positive matchups, and believe Victor Wembanyama’s breakout game is on tap.
Kuzma and the Wizards face an Indiana team sitting at the bottom of the barrel in most major stat categories defensively. While averaging a bit less than this mark (21.6 PPG & 5.6 RPG) in the last five outings, Kuzma is coming off one of his most efficient games this season. With this game bound to have a huge over/under, we love Kuzma’s overs in this dream matchup against Indy who allows 125.4 PPG which is 2nd worst only to Washington.
Scary Terry has lived up to his nickname thus far, averaging 23.9 PPG alongside 7.6 APG. He’ll play a New Orleans team that has allowed just over 120 PPG over the last three outings and with CJ McCollum as a potential matchup, we love this over as Charlotte tries to stay in this game. Rozier has averaged 35.6 PTS+AST during his last five games and by shooting 45% from deep in that stretch, ride the hot hand tonight.
LeBron and the Lakers sit at 15-10 in the competitive West and have what seems to be a locked up win tonight against a Spurs team that has dropped 18 in a row. James has averaged 7.8 APG in his last five outings, including hitting this mark in three straight outings. With San Antonio allowing 28 APG (3rd-most) this season, expect LeBron to lead this game in dimes.
Sticking with this matchup, the Victor Wembanyama plane is close to fully taking off. The Frenchman has averaged 19.8 PPG, 14.6 RPG, and 4 BPG during the last five outings, including a 30-point game against LA a few days ago. At 35.5, expect Wemby to hit this mark easily as a force in the paint dueling with AD.
Murray and the skidding Hawks take on the Raptors in a rematch from a few nights ago. Murray should capitalize as a playmaker in this game, as Toronto allows the most APG over the last three outings. As for rebounding, Murray should be looking at at least 3 boards, which he has hit in his previous six outings.
