NBA Monday Best Bets: Top Spreads For Monday Nov 24

The Cavs face Toronto in a matchup between two of the Eastern Conference’s top squads. With the Raptors handily defeating Cleveland in their first two matchups early in the year, I’m smelling revenge. Elsewhere, Miami should be able to run Dallas out of South Beach with their fast-paced scoring and Dallas’s lack of three-point scoring.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Toronto Raptors

Toronto and Scottie Barnes are looking to extend their seven-game winning streak in their toughest test of the last ten days with a date at home against Cleveland. In their first game without RJ Barrett and this rematch coming after Toronto defeated the Cavs at home by 13 points on November 13th, I’m backing Cleveland and Donovan Mitchell to come out with a mission and regain their confidence in this one. While Cleveland will be without Jarrett Allen and De’Andre Hunter in this game, they will add Jaylon Tyson and Lonzo Ball to the mix. After dropping two games against the Raptors to open the year, Kenny Atkinson and company won’t let it happen three straight times, especially as they look to begin their own winning streak after winning two games at home this weekend.

Houston Rockets vs Phoenix Suns

KD will be absent in his return to Phoenix as the Suns look to build off their buzzer-beating win against Minnesota and big victory against San Antonio last night. The Suns have won 8 of their last 9, with the one loss coming by 2 points to an improved Atlanta team. The Rockets have had KD’s consistent scoring for the entire season and will be missing that now. Reed Sheppard, Amen Thompson, Jabari Smith Jr., and Josh Okogie will be asked to step it up offensively. In the inaugural matchup between these two Western foes this year, I believe the Suns’ depth at the center spot will allow them to limit Houston’s offensive rebounding potential, forcing this into a back-and-forth, low-scoring battle.

Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat

The Miami Heat will ride their momentum at home, where they are 7-1 on the year with wins over Golden State, New York, and Cleveland. Spo and company have beaten up on mid to bottom tier teams, defeating the Grizzlies, Hornets, Bulls, and Sixers all by double-digit points. With this spread set at 7.5 points and Miami finding some additional positive minutes in Larsson, JJJ, Davion Mitchell, and Kel’el Ware, among others, I see them handily defeating a struggling Mavericks team in this one. The Heat allow opponents to shoot a league-worst 31.7% from beyond the arc, while Dallas is shooting a near-league-worst 32% from deep. Oh, and by the way, Miami is leading the league in points per contest.
