Happy Friday to all of you sports fans out there! Another day means another opportunity to head over to Underdog to check out their player props from tonight’s NBA slate.
We’re hoping to sweep the board for the third time this week, and after looking at the 10 games tipping off this evening, we’re confident in our ability to do so again tonight. Let’s get into our top player props of the night and head into the weekend with a little extra cash in our pockets!
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Tyrese Haliburton | Under 10.5 Assists | |
Tyrese Haliburton | Over 10.5 Assists |
Tyrese Haliburton’s season has been something of a whirlwind. After being regarded as a top 10 or 15 player in the league last year, he had a slow start this season, making people wonder if something had happened to him. However, he’s seemingly gotten better as the season has gone on, and his assist totals have especially picked up as of late.
Haliburton has achieved 10+ assists in seven straight games, a trend we expect to continue against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. The 76ers don’t have much of an identity these days, and while this game could get out of hand early in favor of the Indiana Pacers, we still love Haliburton’s chances of having at least 10 assists.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have a fun matchup tonight, taking on the Memphis Grizzlies in a game that could go down to the wire. Cleveland is the best team in the Eastern Conference and riding a 15-game winning streak, while the Grizzlies have the No. 2 seed in the West and have been dominant all year long.
The Cavaliers might have a significant advantage if Donovan Mitchell was playing, but he has been ruled out of this one, making it a fairer fight. We do expect Darius Garland to pull more weight than normal in the scoring category with Mitchell out, especially if this game comes down to the last few minutes in the fourth quarter.
Garland has scored 24+ points in four of five games this season without Mitchell, making the over on his point total an easy bet to place.
This is the second under we’ve taken on Nikola Jokic this week, which we recognize is a risky move. Jokic has been one of the most consistently dominant players in the league for some time now, a true asset to the Denver Nuggets in all aspects of his game.
However, given that he and his teammates are taking on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight, we’re fading his assist total. Jokic has only achieved 11+ rebounds against the Lakers twice in his career, struggling against them in this metric, for some reason.
He could have a big game in the rebounds or points categories, but we’re not so sure he’ll have the same luck when it comes to assists.
