Happy Friday, all! You made it to the end of the week, which is an accomplishment in itself. We’re looking forward to the weekend, and what better way to kick off the weekend than to tune into some NBA action?
There’s a great eight-game slate tonight, and we’re excited to dive straight into our favorite Underdog player props from the action. We were frustrated with our 0-3 performance last night, but we’re determined to have a better night with this slate, so let’s get after it!
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Donovan Mitchell | Under 25.5 Points | |
Donovan Mitchell | Over 24.5 Points |
Donovan Mitchell has been on an absolute tear lately. The Cleveland Cavaliers guard has scored 24+ points in six of his past seven games, with his only dud being an 11-point outing against the Orlando Magic on February 25th, a game where he only played 23 minutes.
Mitchell and the Cavaliers might blow out the Charlotte Hornets tonight, limiting his minute potential, but we still think he can hit the 24-point threshold pretty easily. This team runs through him and his scoring abilities, so we’re confident that he’ll get the job done.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Jaden McDaniels | Over 8.5 Rebounds/Assists | |
Jaden McDaniels | Under 9.5 Rebounds/Assists |
The Minnesota Timberwolves have won their last three games with much thanks to the dynamic duo of Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels. Edwards, of course, is a known leaguewide entity, while McDaniels might be a bit of an unknown to the average NBA fan.
Timberwolves fans love him, as he is a great scoring threat and also a player who can rack up rebounds and assists. He’s had at least eight RA in 14 of his last 16 games, so we’ll ride with him in these two statistical categories until he has another off night.
What can’t this guy do? Nikola Jokic is scoring the third-most points per game of any player in the NBA, the third-most rebounds per game, and the second-most assists per game. He’s an MVP candidate in our books, and a candidate to have a massive performance against the Phoenix Suns tonight, especially in the assists category.
Jokic hasn’t been as dominant as a passer over his past two games, but we expect him to have 11 or more tonight in a game that’s as close to a playoff matchup as you can ask for in early March.
