Happy Friday, everyone! It’s been a great week of NBA action, but the week isn’t over yet. We have a 10-game slate to tune into tonight, and we’re certainly looking forward to heading over to Underdog to put our favorite player props together!
Last night was another good one for us, as we went two for three for the second straight day, narrowly missing Giannis’ points total by .5. Let’s end the week with a sweep of the board!
We have a pretty good feeling about Jayson Tatum tonight. He and the Boston Celtics are taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight, which is as close to a playoff matchup as we can get in February.
These two Eastern Conference juggernauts have already faced off three times this year, with the Celtics having the upper hand on the series, 2-1. Tatum scored 33 points in two of those games, and likely would have had 27+ in their last meeting, had he not shot 30.4% from the field.
With such an important game on a Friday night, Tatum should get back on track and put up a crooked number against the Cavaliers, hitting the over on his point total.
Ja Morant likes playing against the New York Knicks. He’s had 24+ points against them in three of his past four outings, which includes a 37-point performance.
Morant did struggle against the Knicks earlier this year, only putting up 10 in 27 minutes, but we expect him to bounce back in a big way tonight. He’s the No. 1 scoring option in Memphis, and with the Knicks having a lot of offensive firepower, look for Morant to take over and help keep his team in it, scoring at least 24 in this one.
Tyrese Haliburton was viewed as one of the most unexpected players in the 2023-2024 NBA season, putting on a show for the Indiana Pacers. He has taken a slight step back this year as it relates to scoring, but his assist numbers have still been strong, especially against the Miami Heat, his opponent tonight.
Haliburton already has games with 15 and 13 assists vs. the Heat this season, and he looks to have a similar performance in this one, a game where the Pacers could find themselves at a disadvantage early.
His ability to find his teammates in space could help the Pacers stick around, so we’re taking the over in this spot, believing he can hit the double-digit mark with ease.
