Happy Friday, everyone! It’s been a great week of sports, and we couldn’t be happier to be talking about tonight’s nine-game NBA slate, a sign that the league is back in full force after a much-needed break.
There are a lot of marquee matchups going down this evening, and we’ve focused our efforts on Underdog player props from those matchups, hoping to sweep the board. Let’s get into it. Hopefully, we will head into the weekend with more cash in our pockets!
The New York Knicks are taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight, which is as close to a playoff matchup as we’re going to get in February. The Cavaliers are No. 1 in the East and the Knicks are No. 3, and both teams are looking for a hard-fought win tonight to show the rest of the league that they mean business.
While we think that this will be a battle of a matchup, we’re fading Jalen Brunson’s points total, believing the Knicks will find scoring in bunches from several of their top players, including Karl-Anthony Towns, who has been on a tear all season.
Plus, Brunson has never scored 27 points against the Cavaliers in his career, so we’re not going to bank on tonight being the game where he breaks that streak.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Klay Thompson | Over 15.5 Points | |
Klay Thompson | Under 15.5 Points |
Klay Thompson has had an awesome month and benefited greatly from not having Luka Doncic on the team. Thompson can shoot more than he was before, giving him more confidence in his abilities and his three-point shot.
He’s having a great month, scoring 17+ points in three of his past four outings, including a monster 25-point game against the Boston Celtics.
While we don’t think his ceiling is quite that high tonight, 17-20 points shouldn’t be difficult for him to achieve, which is why we’re taking the over on this total.
Taking the over on double-doubles from centers against the Minnesota Timberwolves has been one of our favorite bets all season. They aren’t able to defend centers as well as they used to without Karl-Anthony Towns, and opposing teams continue to take advantage of them in the post.
Alperen Sengun has had double-doubles in all three games against the Timberwolves this year, a streak that should continue tonight. Look for him to dominate on the glass and score at least 10 points, hitting this line with ease.
