Mavericks vs Timberwolves: 3 Player Prop Predictions for Friday, February 20

Happy Friday, everyone! It’s a great day to be a sports fan, with the Olympics happening all day, which includes Men’s Hockey trying to get to the gold medal game, and the NBA is in full swing after the All-Star Game and break.

There are a lot of great games going on tonight, and it was tough to figure out which one we wanted to target as our favorite of the evening. But we landed on the matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves are 13.5-point favorites at home, but we’re expecting a fun battle, especially since Anthony Edwards is in the mix, who always puts on a show. With that in mind, let’s get into our favorite Underdog player props, all of which can be found on Underdog!

Ayo Dosunmu OVER 1.5 Steals and Blocks

If the Timberwolves go on a deep playoff run again this year, they can likely point to their acquisition of Ayo Dosunmu as a major reason. He’s having a fantastic season overall, and his time with the Timberwolves has already yielded big things.

Dosunmu has had 2+ steals and blocks in four straight games, a valuable defensive contributor in all facets of the game. We love his odds of keeping this going for a fifth straight contest tonight, especially with the Wolves being such heavy favorites.

Rudy Gobert UNDER 11.5 Rebounds

While Rudy Gobert is still a big part of this Timberwolves roster, his recent rebounding numbers have been disappointing, to say the least. He’s had 11 or fewer boards in three straight games, but this negative trend doesn’t end there.

Gobert has had especially poor rebounding opportunities against the Mavericks in recent performances, going under this number in 11 straight matchups.

Naji Marshall UNDER 27.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists

Naji Marshall is having a great season, and he’s been particularly good lately for the Mavericks. While recent trends would indicate that he is going to go over on this PRA total, Marshall hasn’t been the greatest against the Timberwolves throughout his career.

Marshall has had 28 or fewer PRA in seven straight games in these matchups. We can’t be confident in Marshall to put forth a solid effort in this one, especially if the Mavericks fall behind early.
