Tonight is the night. The Minnesota Timberwolves have their backs against the wall in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, hoping to be the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-0 playoff series deficit. Can they pull it off against a top-heavy Dallas Mavericks squad? We’ll soon find out.

Anthony Edwards HAS to have a big game tonight for the Timberwolves to have a chance. He started Game 4 strong, and we anticipate him to come out similarly in this contest, especially since it’s at home.
Edwards started talking some trash near the end of the last game, indicating how fired up he is. This team doesn’t want to go down without a fight, and Edwards should be their main contributor in this matchup.

Jaden McDaniels OVER 1.5 Made Three-Pointers
Underdog keeps giving out this line at 1.5, so we’re going to keep taking the over. McDaniels is a rising star on this roster, giving them a lot of energy as a defender and as a shooter.
He has made at least two three-pointers in five of his last six games and has been hot from beyond the arc. Some of his teammates have struggled to hit from deep, but McDaniels doesn’t seem to have that issue.

Kyrie Irving OVER 23.5 Points
After a 33-point outing in Game 3, Kyrie Irving struggled to contribute in a meaningful way. He only scored 16 points in Game 4, an unusual sight for the talented veteran.
Irving can go off on a team if necessary, and if Luka Doncic struggles at all tonight, he could be who the Mavericks turn to for a large majority of their scoring. We project Irving to score 26 points in this one, largely due to his ability to get in the lane and finish at the rim.

It looks like we’re taking all overs tonight! Jaden Hardy isn’t necessarily a household name, but he has started to establish himself as a solid role player for the Mavericks.
He has scored 8+ points in his last three games, an indication of what he can do for this team in limited minutes. While he’s not necessarily the most exciting player on the court, Hardy can certainly make an impact on the box score, which is why we’re taking the over on his point total.
