Happy Friday, everyone! The weekend is finally here, and it will kick off with a BANG tonight in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. The Dallas Mavericks stole Game 1 from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the fourth quarter, and we are interested to see what tonight’s game looks like as a result.
Both teams are healthy and ready to compete in Game 2, a highly-anticipated event. Will the Timberwolves find a way to even the series, or will it be the Mavericks that take a commanding 2-0 series lead?
While we think about what might go down on the hardwood tonight, we’ve crafted a few of our favorite player props. We went 2 for 3 on our picks last night and are looking forward to carrying that momentum into this matchup. Let’s get into it!
We know, we know. We took the over on Anthony Edwards’ point total in Game 1, only to be disappointed by his poor showing. However, we’re going back to it tonight, as Ant doesn’t like to have two bad games in a row.
He seems to be streaky when it comes to off games, and with the Timberwolves already down in the series, look for Edwards to have a monster game, hopefully cashing this line with ease.
Taking the over on the point total of two Timberwolves might not necessarily be a conventional move, but we don’t care. Jaden McDaniels has been an absolute beast for the Timberwolves throughout the playoffs and was a big reason for the team’s series win over the Denver Nuggets.
He dropped 24 points in Game 1, and we don’t see him slowing down anytime soon. Until Underdog puts this line at 15.5 or 16.5, we’re going to take the over for McDaniels. He’s just playing too well!
Sometimes, you just have to go with the stars. Kyrie Irving put on a masterclass in Game 1, slicing and dicing through the Timberwolves’ defense, making his presence known throughout this game.
Irving was a big reason the Mavericks won Game 1, and unless the Timberwolves can find an answer for him, the over here looks pretty darn good.
