It was an exciting weekend for basketball fans between the NCAA and NBA, as a lot of amazing games went down that kept us all glued to our TVs. While we have to wait several days for some more March Madness games to take place, we don’t have to wait that long for the NBA, as there is a fantastic seven-game slate going down tonight.
With so many games to choose from, it was a difficult decision on which one to hone in on, but we ultimately decided on the matchup in Houston between the New York Knicks and the Rockets. The Knicks are 1.5-point favorites on the road here, so this is expected to be a close, down-to-the-wire contest. With that said, let’s get into our favorite player props from this one!
Kevin Durant OVER 9.5 Rebounds & Assists
The most casual NBA fan knows the level of impact Kevin Durant brings to a team from a scoring perspective. He’s one of the best pure scorers the league has ever seen, and it’s a genuine treat to watch him play basketball.
Lately, he’s been helping the Rockets in other ways, having 10+ rebounds & assists in four straight contests. We’re thinking he’s going to be as involved, if not more, than he has been in recent games. This matchup with the Knicks should be cutthroat, giving Durant plenty of opportunities to rack up 10+ RA.
Mikal Bridges UNDER 20.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists
Can someone tell Mikal Bridges to wake up? He’s never been the top player for the Knicks by any means, but he’s usually a big-time role player for them.
That certainly hasn’t been the case lately, as he’s had under 21 PRA in 10 straight away games, and has gone under this line in 13 of his past 14 contests. Bridges simply can’t be trusted at the moment, so we’re fading him until he consistently produces again.
Jalen Brunson OVER 9.5 Rebounds & Assists
Bridges is slacking lately, and Jalen Brunson seems to be picking it up. Brunson has had 10+ RA in 10 straight road games, and has gone over this total in 13 of his past 16 overall contests.
He’s putting the team on his back in more ways than one, and similarly to Durant, we’re expecting a massive impact from him in a must-win game. The playoffs are just around the corner, so any wins at this point are imperative for playoff seeding.
