Knicks vs Clippers: 3 Player Prop Predictions for Monday, March 9

Happy Monday, all! We’re less than two weeks away from the start of March Madness, and the NBA’s regular season has just over a month remaining. We’re getting down to the wire when it comes to the basketball season, and we’re excited to watch it all unfold.

While tonight’s NBA slate is small, with just five games taking place, there are a few key matchups we’re honing in on, including our favorite game between the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Knicks are just 2.5-point favorites on the road, a spread that we know can go either way in a basketball game. With that in mind, let’s get into our favorite player props from this one!

Darius Garland OVER 23.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists

Cleveland Cavaliers fans have been frustrated to see how well Darius Garland has been playing in LA. Yes, they got James Harden via trade, but Garland has been on a tear since he joined his new team, especially lately.

He’s had 23+ PRA in six straight games and looks to extend that streak to seven against the Knicks tonight. He’s also hit the over on this number in 12 of his past 13 games, so there’s no reason to fade him in this one, especially in a tight matchup.

Brook Lopez UNDER 9.5 Points

In a matchup that could go down to the wire, the Clippers are going to want their best scorers on the floor at all times, hoping to keep the pressure on against a tough Knicks team.

This doesn’t bode well for Brook Lopez, who isn’t typically called upon to put up big numbers in the scoring column. Lopez has also had fewer than 10 points in four straight matchups with the Knicks, so we’re fading him for some of his more prolific teammates to have better games.

Landry Shamet OVER 8.5 Points

Landry Shamet has been getting more minutes for the Knicks lately, averaging 25.2 per game during March, and he’s been using that time efficiently. Shamet has scored 10+ in his past four games, and if he gets similar minutes in this one, there’s no reason why he can’t do it again.

The Clippers might focus much of their attention on Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, which should allow Shamet to hit double digits.
