Happy Monday, and happy Cinco de Mayo to all who celebrate! We hope you enjoyed your weekend, which was hopefully full of sports, as there were a lot of exciting games from every league imaginable, including the NBA!
The Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets punched their tickets to the Western Conference semi-finals, rounding out the field for the next round of games.
With that in mind, we have you covered with all of the best Underdog player props for the NBA games that’ll unfold this week, starting with tonight’s matchup between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks.
The Celtics are 9.5-point favorites in this one, but will the Knicks make it interesting with a close game? We’ll soon see!
Jayson Tatum has been awesome lately. He had a dud by his standards of the opening series with the Orlando Magic, putting up just 17 points.
In the three following games, however, he had at least 35 points, including a 37-point outing in Game 4. Tatum is seemingly trying to rewrite the narrative about him not being a clutch player, and we expect that story to continue tonight.
The Celtics rely on him to have big performances and considering how important it is to go up 1-0 in a series, we’re expecting him to deliver in this one.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Jalen Brunson | Over 29.5 Points | |
Jalen Brunson | Under 30.5 Points |
We’re keeping it pretty simple with our first two picks of the night, taking the overs for Jayson Tatum and Jalen Brunson’s point totals. Brunson has also been great for the Knicks in the playoffs thus far, scoring at least 30 points in five of six games.
He’s a major catalyst for them as a scorer, someone who can get it done at all levels. Similarly to Tatum, the Knicks need him to have a big game if they want to compete, and we believe he’ll rise to the occasion like he’s done so many times in the past.
We’re hoping for a battle between the game’s biggest stars, so we’re taking the over, wanting to see an epic back-and-forth here.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Josh Hart | Over 8.5 Rebounds | |
Josh Hart | Under 9.5 Rebounds |
Josh Hart is one of the best rebounding guards in the league, as he averaged 9.6 boards per game during the regular season. This put him as the 13th-best rebounder in the league from a per-game average, a sign of his overall dominance.
However, the Celtics have a lot of strong rebounders of their own, as they are a team that hustles and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Because of this, we don’t think Hart will have as many opportunities in this one, taking the under on his rebounding line.
It’ll be a hard-fought Game 1 at the TD Garden, so we’re expecting the Celtics to pull out all the stops.
