The Heat take on the Hawks for a spot in the postseason and a dance with Cleveland next week. After the Hawks looked extremely disconnected as a group against Orlando for long stretches of quarters two nights ago, Miami should handle their division rivals convincingly, targeting Trae Young on defense and utilizing Bam Adebayo’s improved playmaking on offense.
We went with this RA over two nights ago when Miami obliterated the Chicago Bulls in their Play-In game that set up this matchup between the two division rivals. Coach Spo and Miami are rolling as of late March sporting a 9-4 record, including their Play-In victory.
Bam Adebayo has been a key contributor, especially as a playmaker, averaging almost 9 rebounds per game and over 4 assists per game since the beginning of April. In four appearances against Atlanta this season, Adebayo has gone for 12/6/12/14 rebounds & assists.
In a game where Bam will play close to 40 minutes, the Hawks' poor 3-point shooting and Trae Young’s horrendous defense will give Bam plenty of opportunities to reach this mark.
Dyson Daniels was one of the bright spots for Atlanta in a season that had so much potential stripped from them with the Jalen Johnson injury. Over the last month-or-so, Daniels has been a positive playmaker for the Hawks, averaging 5 dimes per contest in April as well as hitting this prop mark in four of his L5.
Quin Snyder will most likely play his Aussie star 40 minutes tonight in this win-or-go-home game against a Miami team that they have scored 110 PPG against in their four matchups in the regular season. Daniels will have the ball in his hands plenty as Spo keys in on the Trae Young PnR action.
After watching Atlanta fail to defend a horrendous Orlando offense two nights ago, I just don’t see them beating a much more disciplined and hungrier Miami squad led by Coach Spo. Miami won the last two matchups against the Hawks in the regular season very convincingly.
Trae Young’s ejection at the end of the game against Orlando felt extremely negative, and the Hawks simply don’t look connected as a group in the way a team needs to be to win a win-or-go-home game.
Trae Young’s inability to defend will show up tonight, and Miami's Davion Mitchell will be a key x-factor on both sides of the ball. Give me a Miami win away from home.
