Happy Tuesday to all of you sports fans out there! March Madness is officially over, and man, was this year’s Tournament the definition of madness! There were so many close games throughout this event, including last night’s final, which was a battle until the bitter end.
If you’re anything like us, you might be upset that you don’t have any college basketball to watch tonight, but there’s still plenty of NBA action to whet our proverbial basketball whistle.
The most intriguing game on the slate is between the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks, two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
Both teams bring a lot to the table in this matchup, and with playoff seeding on the line, this one should come down to the wire. Let’s take a look at our favorite player props from this one, hoping to sweep the board!
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
OG Anunoby | Over 17.5 Points | |
OG Anunoby | Under 17.5 Points |
This is, by far, our favorite player prop of this matchup. You might think we’re crazy for taking the under on a player who’s averaged 26.5 points per game during April, but given his history against the Celtics, we simply can’t trust him.
OG Anunoby has NEVER scored more than 20 points against the Celtics in his career in a fairly large sample size of 24 games. He’s played them twice this season, putting up 10 and 4 points in those matchups, further illustrating the point that he’s not to be trusted.
Look for Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony-Towns to take on the bulk of the scoring in this one, with Anunoby not sniffing this 17.5-point projection.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Jrue Holiday | Over 9.5 Points | |
Jrue Holiday | Under 9.5 Points |
While we expect Brunson and Karl Anthony-Towns to handle a lot of the scoring for the Knicks, there’s still plenty of room for Josh Hart to get his, which is why we’re taking the over on his 11.5-point projection.
Hart is typically more of a threat when it comes to assists and rebounds, but he has historically performed well against the Celtics, putting up 12+ points in five straight games. His most recent appearance versus the Celtics was in February, where he was one assist away from a 20-point triple-double.
The Celtics might be one of the best teams in the league, but Hart manages to play well against them, so we’re taking the over on his point total.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Jrue Holiday | Over 8.5 Rebounds/Assists | |
Jrue Holiday | Under 8.5 Rebounds/Assists |
This game is going to be hard-fought, which means a lot of grittiness needs to be on display throughout the contest. That type of projection bodes well for a player like Jrue Holiday, who is a consistent threat as a rebounder and as a distributor for the Celtics.
He isn’t afraid to crash the boards when necessary and is more than willing to concede looks to his teammates, a big reason why we have a lot of faith in his rebound and assist total tonight.
