Happy Thursday, sports fans! We’ve almost made it to the weekend, as it’s Friday Eve, as we like to call it. Today marks the start of one of the most significant sporting events in the world: The Masters. The Masters always generates a ton of excitement, and people around the globe will be tuned into this prestigious golf tournament.
If you’re not a big fan of golf or looking for something else to watch after The Masters, you’re in luck! There are five NBA games on the slate this evening, starting with a great matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Indiana Pacers.
While the Cavaliers are locked into the No. 1 overall seed in the Eastern Conference, the Pacers still have plenty to play for, so this should be a great battle. With that in mind, we’ve compiled our favorite Underdog player props from the action, so let’s dive in, hoping to enter the weekend with some extra cash in our pockets!
After a relatively slow start by his standards, Tyrese Haliburton has turned it on from a scoring perspective over the past month, averaging nearly 20 points per game in March and 17.5 PPG thus far in April.
The Pacers tend to live and die by Haliburton’s production, and considering how much this game means to them, we believe he’ll put forth a strong effort to help this team make a strong push towards the postseason. Look for Haliburton to have at least 20 points in this one, easily going over this projection of 16.5 points.
When people talk about the Cavaliers and what they’ve been able to accomplish this season, Jarrett Allen’s name doesn’t often come up. Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Darius Garland have been their three most dominant players, but Allen has certainly played a big part in their success as well, a strong force in the post.
He has played exceptionally well against the Pacers throughout his career, scoring 13.7 PPG, and we think he’s due for similar numbers tonight to help the Cavaliers stay in it.
Andrew Nembhard has been on an absolute tear lately, scoring double-digits in two of his last four games, which includes a 19-point outing against the Denver Nuggets. He has come up clutch in several contests for the Pacers, a great running mate alongside Haliburton.
Both of these players should have great games tonight, which is why we’re taking the over on his line.
