Happy Monday! We hope you enjoyed the past few days of sports content, whether it’s been via the NBA or NHL playoffs, the MLB regular season, the NFL Draft, or a combination of all the above.
A lot was going on over the weekend, certainly, but the fun doesn’t stop today! There are two games on the NBA’s docket, one between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat, the other is between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets.
We’ve decided to focus our attention on the matchup between the Cavaliers and the Heat, heading over to Underdog to find our favorite player props from the action. We had a great week last week, so let’s keep that momentum going with a sweep tonight!
Are we missing something here? This line seems far too low for Davion Mitchell, who has put up at least 16 points in every game this series, which includes two games with 18 points. The Cavaliers don’t seem to focus on him throughout these matchups, electing to dial into his counterparts.
We’ll gladly take the over on his point total on what we believe to be a massive discount. Mitchell hasn’t disappointed us yet, so we’ll keep hammering this line until he has a stinker.
While we’re all-in on Davion Mitchell tonight, the same cannot be said for Tyler Herro. We know that Herro went off for a 33-point performance in Game 2, but that was more of a statistical anomaly than anything else.
Herro shot 58.3% from the field in that game, which is a rate that most players can’t sustain. He might have a decent game tonight but considering the way this series has unfolded thus far, we can’t trust him to have more than 25 points, causing us to take the under here.
Underdog keeps offering Mobley’s rebound total at 9.5, so we’re certainly going to take advantage again tonight. The Cavaliers haven’t needed Mobley to be special in this series to be up 3-0, and Jarrett Allen has handled the bulk of the rebounding efforts as a result.
Mobley’s best rebounding game this series came in Game 1, where he totaled 7, but he’s had 6 in each of his last two games. He might be a factor in the next series but has been largely uninterested in putting up big stats against the Heat, so we’re fading him tonight, and until further notice.
