Happy Monday, everyone! March Madness is almost here, but we can’t forget tonight's NBA action! Eight games are going down on the slate, and while our focus might be on the Madness on Thursday, we are LOVING a few player props from the NBA tonight.
Let’s dive into our top four favorite picks from tonight’s action, all of which can be found on Underdog. Good luck, folks!
We have been big fans of Anthony Edwards all season. We have hit it big on his point total over throughout the year, but we’re staying away from him tonight. Yes, he did score 31 against the Utah Jazz on Saturday, but we’re not projecting to have another massive game against them tonight.
Plus, Edwards needs 32 points to hit his over, and while the Minnesota Timberwolves rely on him to be a big-time scorer, we think he will have closer to 25 points than 32 tonight, which is why we’re taking the under.
This has been one of our favorite bets all season. Jalen Brunson remains one of the best young players in the NBA, which has been great for the New York Knicks. While Brunson can score in droves in every quarter, he tends to get things started early in the first quarter, which is why we’re taking the over on 7.5 first-quarter points tonight.
The Knicks have a formidable opponent in the Golden State Warriors, and if they want to win, they’ll have to start hot. We believe Brunson will lead that charge and hit this over with ease.
Does anyone else think this is too high of a point total for Dejounte Murray against the Los Angeles Lakers? Sure, Murray is one of the Atlanta Hawks’ best scorers, but when looking at his career history against the Lakers, we’re definitely taking his under tonight.
He has only scored 26 or more points against the Lakers on two occasions, a significant number considering he has played against them 19 times. Murray’s career average against this team is 15.3 PPG.
While we think he could score 20 in this one, in our eyes, there’s no way he’s getting 26, especially considering how well the Lakers are playing.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are gearing up for a great battle with the Indiana Pacers tonight. Considering that, the Cavaliers starters should play for most of the game, which is excellent news for Darius Garland.
Garland has been an instrumental piece of this team all year, getting it done on all levels. He continues to be a factor on the glass, and this trend will continue tonight when it comes to distributing to his teammates.
Look for him to garner at least 10 RA early in this one, perhaps even by the end of the first half.
