Happy Tuesday, everybody! There are three NBA games on tonight’s playoff slate, which happen to be elimination games. Who will move on, and who will go home? We could find out tonight.
With that information in mind, let’s go through a few of our favorite player props for tonight’s contests.
Trae Young struggled in the Atlanta Hawks’ first two playoff games against the Boston Celtics, averaging just 20 points per game. However, in the last two contests, Young has exploded, averaging 33.5 points per game.
Being that tonight is an elimination game for the Hawks, we’re anticipating Young to have another standout performance. This also coincides with the suspension of Dejounte Murray, who tends to take scoring opportunities away from Young.
We anticipate Young to play over 35 minutes tonight, which is why we recommend taking the over on his scoring total.
Let’s get one thing clear. Jayson Tatum has dominated throughout the playoffs thus far. He’s averaging 28.5 points per game and is a massive reason for the Celtics’ success thus far.
Despite his scoring contributions, however, Tatum has only eclipsed 44.5 PRA in one playoff game yet this season. While we’re expecting the Celtics to close out the series tonight, we are taking the under on Tatum’s PRA, given his recent stat lines.
Jokic joins Jayson Tatum as a player that has absolutely dominated the postseason. During the Denver Nuggets playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jokic has nearly averaged a triple-double, including 8.25 assists per game.
Tonight, the Nuggets have an opportunity to close out the Timberwolves, moving on to the next round of the playoffs. We like Jokic’s odds of being heavily involved in this contest, including in the area of assists, which is why recommend his over.
While tonight is an elimination game between the Nuggets and the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards will not go down without a fight. In the Timberwolves’ last three games, Edwards is averaging 37 points per game.
He has been one of the Timberwolves’ lone bright spots as they have struggled against the Nuggets. We aren’t necessarily expecting the Timberwolves to win tonight’s contest, but we are expecting another big night from Edwards. Take his point total over with confidence.
Devin Booker is one of the best players in the NBA. He has established himself as a dominant force on the Phoenix Suns and has quickly developed a clutch gene.
If the Suns win tonight, they move on to the next round of the playoffs. Look for Booker to continue his three-game streak of 3-plus made threes as the Suns trend towards closing out the Clippers tonight.
