Good morning and Happy Thursday! Since the NBA season is just a couple of days old, it's time to bring back one of our favorite traditions: The NBA on TNT Doubleheader.
The Bucks will host the Sixers in the early tilt while the Suns will hit the highway to take on the Lakers in the late-night edition. We've combed through the entire player prop board to bring you these 5 bets for October 26. Enjoy the games and we'll see you at the window!
Maxey is primed for a breakout season here in his 4th season. He has gone from 8ppg to 17.5ppg to 20.3ppg over the last 3 seasons. We all know the drama that James Harden has caused and is causing.
However, this could be a blessing in disguise for Maxey who will get an opportunity to be more of a 2nd option behind Embiid. In his career, when Harden is out of the lineup, Maxey is averaging 24.8ppg.
We believe he gets there or goes over that number and covers this 21.5-point total easily.
In his 1st game of the season on Tuesday night against the Denver Nuggets, AD had a monster 1st half with 17 points. However, the 2nd half was not the same, as he was held scoreless and finished with those 17 points.
The media is already all over this and has been giving AD a bad rap since Tuesday night. In AD’s career against the Sun’s big man Jusuf Nurkic, he is averaging 24.4ppg.
We believe he comes out motivated tonight and drops between 25-30 points in this one against the Suns.
Harris’s rebounding per game numbers have slowly dropped over the years. In his 1st season with he 76ers, he was averaging nearly 8 boards per game but by 2020-2022, that number had dipped under 7.
Last season, it was his lowest rebounding numbers since his time in Detroit (2016-2018). However, during his time on the 6ers without Harden in the lineup, Harris has been averaging 6.7 boards per game.
In 7 of his last 10 games without Harden, he has exceeded this 5.5 total.
Okogie is averaging just 1.3 assists per game over his 5-year career. In his 1st game this season, he finished with just 1 assist.
Being on a team with KD, DBook, and Bradely Beal; it is difficult to pick up assists since all 3 of these high-volume scorers tend to dominate the ball on the offensive possessions.
The plus money value here is too much to pass up on a player that has been averaging such a low number of dimes over his career.
Embiid is averaging 27.7ppg and 11.2rpg over his illustrious 7-year career. Last season, his scoring numbers were even better as he finished the season averaging 33.1ppg.
In this season opener, he will be without the services of James Harden, but that should not affect him much as he is averaging 31.4 and 10.7 over the last 20 games without Harden.
In fact, he faced the Bucks twice during that 20-game stretch and finished with 42-14 and 32-11. These 25.5 and 7.5 totals should be easy for Embiid to get over in this season opener.
