It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly a month since the NBA regular season kicked off. It’s been an impressive start to the year for the Cleveland Cavaliers as they’ve tied the second-longest undefeated streak to start the season, going 15-0.
Tonight, the Cavaliers will put their impressive winning streak on the line against the Boston Celtics, the team that eliminated them in the conference semifinals last season. It’s one of six strong matchups slated for Tuesday night.

In one of the premier matchups of the early season, the Celtics (11-3) are looking to continue their dominance over the Cavaliers. One reason Boston is so dominant against their Eastern Conference foes is the play of point guard Derrick White.
The 6-foot-4 veteran is entering the game averaging 18.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per outing. Against Cleveland, his assists in the playoffs rose as he contributed five or more assists per contest in three of the five postseason outings. There’s little reason to believe he won’t do the same and surpass the 4.5-assist mark in tonight’s outing.

Denver Nuggets PG Jamal Murray OVER 4.5 Rebounds
The Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies are locked into a battle for the sixth spot in the Western Conference. Denver will face off against Memphis tonight without their multi-time MVP Nikola Jokic in the lineup as he’s scratched from the contest for personal reasons.
Without Jokic in the lineup, the remainder of the team will need to have strong rebounding performances to compensate for the NBA’s leader in that category. That’s where point guard Jamal Murray can excel on Tuesday night.
The 6-foot-4 point guard has grabbed at least six rebounds in his team’s past two outings – both without Jokic in the lineup – in losing efforts to New Orleans and Memphis. Expect him to repeat that performance tonight and cover his player prop bet.

After acquiring Klay Thompson this offseason, the Dallas Mavericks have become an even bigger threat from behind the three-point line than in past seasons. And the team is hitting over 34 percent of their tries from long range to start the year.
That’s freed point guard Luka Doncic up to work his magic inside. Expect him to focus inside the arc for much of tonight’s game as the 6-foot-6 veteran leads his team into battle against the New Orleans Pelicans tonight. Bettors should expect he’ll fall short of this player prop bet as he has not connected on four or more three-point shots in four of his last six outings.

Utah Jazz PF Lauri Markkanen UNDER 19.5 Points
The suddenly hot Los Angeles Lakers host the last-place Utah Jazz as the featured night game on Tuesday. Utah’s season was derailed from the start, dropping six straight contests to begin the year.
The Jazz are a respectable 3-4 in the past seven games, and their seven-foot power forward Lauri Markkanen is responsible for the team’s resurgence. The 27-year-old has shot an incredible 46 percent from deep, recording double-figure point tallies in five straight games.
Expect him to continue his strong scoring mark tonight against the Lakers. However, he’ll face off against a Los Angeles team that’s surrendered fewer points than their season average in three of the past five outings, all wins for the Lakers. Markkanen will suffer because of that and fail to secure 20 points on the night.
