Hello, and Happy Tuesday! It’s another great day to be a sports fan, especially if you like the NBA. After an exciting weekend of college football and the NFL, it’s time for the NBA to shine.
The NBA Cup starts tonight, as there are eight games taking place as part of the league’s in-season tournament action. This is a relatively new concept for the league, but with viewership down, this might just be the event to keep fans watching and engaged.
To make the slate a bit more fun, we’ve put together our favorite player props from Underdog, hoping to sweep our top picks and make some extra money! Without further ado, let’s jump right in.
Jaylen Brown was the Boston Celtics’ most effective scorer in the playoffs last year, and it wasn’t particularly close. Many expected him to continue that efficiency into the 2024-2025 season, and while he’s played well to this point, it’s been the Jayson Tatum show this year.
Tatum seemingly heard all of the criticism surrounding him in the offseason and during the Olympics and has been a beast for the Celtics all year. Brown is playing second-fiddle to him, scoring-wise, and his numbers haven’t been quite as strong.
Since he has historically struggled against the Atlanta Hawks, we’re going to take the under on his points total tonight, needing to see it to believe it from Brown.
With the absence of Karl Anthony-Towns, Rudy Gobert has needed to carry a lot of the load for the Minnesota Timberwolves, particularly on defense and in the paint. He’s their only true big man who starts, although Naz Reid is a beast when he comes off the bench.
That said, Gobert is the team’s primary rebounder and should be in for a big game off the glass against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight. We wouldn’t be shocked if he ended the game with 14 or 15 boards, which is why we’re taking the over on his rebounding total.
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Karl-Anthony Towns | Over 39.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists | |
Karl-Anthony Towns | Under 40.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists |
Speaking of Karl Anthony-Towns, he’s been a welcomed addition to the New York Knicks this season. He’s scored 30+ in three straight, and we’re expectant that he’ll put up similar numbers against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight, a team that’s struggling mightily.
They will likely have a tough time stopping Towns in all facets of his game, and he should go over his PRA line as a result.
