Happy Monday, everyone! We’re coming off a great weekend of NBA action, and we’re excited about the two games taking place tonight. The Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers tip off in the first game of the night, followed by an exciting matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks.
The Celtics have a 2-1 series lead over the Cavaliers, and the Mavericks have a 2-1 lead over the Thunder in their series. As we look forward to these matchups and see how everything will play out, we’ve put together our favorite player props from each game, hoping to find great value from these plays. Let’s get right into it!
Player | Prop | Price |
---|---|---|
Jayson Tatum | Over 27.5 Points | |
Jayson Tatum | Under 27.5 Points |
This seems like an easy under for us to take tonight. Jayson Tatum is still one of the best players in this matchup, but for whatever reason, he hasn’t been an elite scoring threat throughout the playoffs.
The only time he’s scored more than 28 points in the playoffs is in Game 3, where he put up 33. We certainly understand why Underdog elevated his points line for Game 4, but honestly, we just can’t trust him to have a big game.
We would probably still take the under on this line if it was 25.5 points, an indication of how confident we are in this pick. Look for other Celtics players to have a bigger impact on this game, leaving Tatum less opportunity to score 29+.
While we’re less than confident about Tatum’s potential output tonight, we do not feel the same way about Donovan Mitchell. We don’t necessarily have a lean as to who will win this game, but we can count on Mitchell to keep the Cavaliers in it, at least.
Mitchell has scored 31+ points in two of his past three games, and we believe that this trend will continue tonight. He has shown a propensity to show up in big games, and in a must-win matchup tonight, this is a great opportunity for Mitchell to prove himself.
Luka Doncic was a triple-double machine during the regular season, but for some reason, he hasn’t been racking up assists in the playoffs. Instead, he’s been much more active on the boards, doing everything he can to help the Mavericks win games.
This has resulted in several awesome performances on the glass, a trend that should continue tonight in Game 4. We love the over in this spot for Doncic and would even take the over at 10.5 or 11, if it rises leading up to the opening tip.
