Tonight is a big night in the NBA. Three games are tipping off, and two of those games have the potential to end their respective series. The Oklahoma City Thunder are up 3-0 on the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Denver Nuggets are up 3-1 on the Los Angeles Lakers. The Boston Celtics also have an opportunity to take a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Miami Heat with a win tonight.
Needless to say, there’s a lot on the line in these matchups. Will the star players from each team show up and provide a meaningful performance? That’s what fans are hoping to find out.
With individual player performances in mind, we took a look at Underdog’s lines, and have come up with our three favorite props from tonight’s action. Two of our picks feature star players, but the third may surprise you. Take a look below to see who our favorite plays are!
Porzingis’ points line opened at 15.5, and Underdog has already bumped it to 16.5. They might bump it up again, so try to take it as soon as you can! Porzingis has scored 18 points in two games so far this series, and we’re expecting him to get to this level of production again tonight.
He has been a vital contributor from the three-point line all series, and if he keeps this pace up, the Celtics will be in a good place to beat any team they come across throughout the rest of the playoffs.
We’re riding the hot hand with Porzingis tonight, which is why we’ll stick with the over on his point total.
The Thunder have come to rely on three players for the majority of their scoring: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren. However, Josh Giddey has turned into a great scorer for them, especially during this series against the Pelicans.
Giddey has scored 21 and 13 points over his past two games, respectively, a trend that we think will continue in this game. Giddey might not have the upside of SGA or Holmgren, but we believe he’ll be able to score at least 12 points tonight.
We took the over on LeBron’s point total in Game 4, and we were rewarded handsomely. He put up 30 in that game and scored 26 in each of the prior two games. LeBron is desperately trying to keep the Lakers in the playoffs.
If he plays well enough tonight, LeBron could not only smash the over on his point total, but he could help the Lakers force a Game 6 and keep the series alive.
