RBC Canadian Open Top Matchups and Outrights

The golf world heads to Canada this week for the 2025 RBC Canadian Open. Recent Masters champ Rory McIlroy is the overwhelming favorite to bring home the hardware. The Northern Ireland native is currently +450 to win the tournament over at DraftKings.

Our RBC Canadian Open preview has the info you need to make some profit on this week’s PGA Tour stop. Our golf analyst has plenty of plays on tap for Thursday, June 5. Check out his three picks to win and his two favorite head-to-head matchups below.

Top Tier: Corey Conners (+2200)

Corey Conners is coming off a tie for 25th last week at the Memorial. That marked his 3rd straight Top 25 finish on the season. His worst finish at the RBC over the last 3 years was his 20th-place finish in 2023.

That was sandwiched between 2 years in which he finished 6th. He is ranked inside the Top 10 in strokes gained off the tee this season and should be a contender come Sunday.

Value Pick: Sam Burns (+2800)

Burns had a rough stretch back in late March/early April where he missed 3 straight cuts. Since then, he has made 6 straight cuts with a 5th place finish sprinkled in that mix.

He is coming off a solid tie for 12 at the Memorial and has had success here at the RBC. Despite missing the cut in 2023, he finished 4th in 2022 and 10th last year. He currently sits at the top of the entire Tour in strokes gained putting and could use that to grab the win here up North.

Long Shot: Keith Mitchell (+4000)

Mitchell did not play in the Memorial, and that could be a good thing. He had a great run in late March through early May where he grabbed a 2nd place finish, a 7th place finish and a couple of Top 20s.

Here at the RBC, he has had extremely similar results as Sam Burns. He also missed the cut in 2023 and finished 10th last year. In 2022, he was 7th. He is 22nd on Tour in total strokes gained and has been a wizard off the tee where he is 7th. At 40:1, we like the price we are getting here on Mitchell.

Ryan Fox OVER Matt Wallace (-110)

Ryan Fox is fresh off a Top 20 finish at the Memorial. Here at the RBC, he had his 1st start last season and was impressive with a 7th place finish.

He is facing Matt Wallace who has missed more cuts (7) than he has made (6) this season. He is also outside the Top 100 in strokes gained: off the tee, approach, and putting. We love this matchup for Fox.

Robert MacIntyre OVER Thorbjorn Olesen (-150)

Last year’s winner, Bobby Mac is avaialbe here for a juiced matchup against Olesen, who was 27th last year in this event. He has finished outside the Top 30 in back-to-back events this year.

On the other hand, Bob finished 6th at the Schwab and most recently, 20th at the Memorial. The juice is a bit much for a matchup but should be worth the lay.
