The PGA Tour is back at Jack's Place for the Memorial. This year's field is loaded and ready to tackle Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio.
Scottie Scheffler is a +650 favorite to win this prestigious event. Jon Rahm isn't too far behind with odds of +750.

Our champion from last year’s Memorial, Billy is coming off a Top 4 finish at the Charles Schwab where he finished 1 over for the tournament. His success at this event is not limited to last year’s victory. Billy has finishes of 12th and 9th in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
He is facing Kevin Streelman, who is fresh off a Top 10 finish at the Schwab. However, this season has been up and down for Streelman. He has missed more cuts (7) than he has made (6). He also ranks outside the top 75 in all strokes gained categories. His track record at the Memorial has been similar to how his season has gone.
In 2019, he picked up his best finish when he came in 4th after finishing 44th the year prior. He followed that up with a 54th place finish in 2020 before sliding into 13th the following year. Last year, he failed to make the cut and seems to have a ceiling of around 30th for this year.
Corey Conners finished a career best 13th at the Memorial last season. He has also made the cut in all 4 starts here in his career. Corey has been on a tear over his last 2 starts.
At the Wells Fargo, he shot 9 under which earned him a tie for 8th. He followed that up with a 12th place finish at the PGA Championship. This will be his 1st start since and we believe he is primed to make a run.
He is facing Russell Henley in this matchup. Henley has only started the Memorial twice in recent years. In 2018 he finished a modest 29th but in 2021, he failed to make the cut.
He bounced back nicely after missing the cut at the PGA Championship to finish 16th last week at the Schwab. However, this will be a tournament much more like the PGA than the Schwab and the pressure along with the loaded field will give Henley issues once again.
After a 9th place finish at the Masters and a 5th place finish at the RBC Heritage, Theegala has played a bit below his average. That said, he has made the cut in all 3 events that followed but his finishing positions have left a bit to be desired.
A tie for 23rd at the Zurich was followed by a tie for 56th and tie for 40th at the Wells Fargo and PGA. In his short career, Theegala has had success here at the Memorial. In his debut, in 2021, he finished 32nd and followed that with a 5th place finish last year.
He gets Rickie this week, who has had success here as well. He has finished in the Top 15 in 3 of his last 4 starts here while missing the cut in 2020. He is fresh off a 6th place finish at the Schwab but did miss the cut at the PGA the week prior. We like the steady play of Theegala to prevail here.
Mitchell has already collected 10 Top 40 finishes this season in his 18 events and has missed only 3 cuts. He is currently ranked 4th on Tour in strokes gained off the tee and 44th in strokes gained in total.
He is long and accurate off the tee, and this serves him well no matter what track he is playing on. After missing the cut in 2018, Mitchell finished a modest 48th in 2019 here at the Memorial. Since, he has been solid here.
In 2020, he finished 22nd and then last year was able to better himself again for a finish of 18th. His trend of playing better here year after year is one, we are factoring into this play. A Top 20 sprinkle may be worth the risk but Top 40 at plus money has us salivating.
Si Woo has participated in the past 5 Memorials. In those, he has finished outside the Top 30 just once (41st in 2019).
He has been inside the Top 20 over each of the last 3 years here. He is coming off another Top 30 finish as he came in 29th at the Schwab last week.
In 12 of his 20 starts this season, Si Woo has found his way inside the Top 30. We expect that number to grow this week as he does it once again at the Memorial.
We mentioned in our breakdown in the matchups about Theegala playing a bit below his average lately. That said, we believe he is primed for the Memorial, an event he has played extremely well in over his 2 years on Tour.
His putting has been his strong suit this year as he ranks 35th on Tour in strokes gained on the green. We expect Theegala to more likely be in contention than to miss the cut which makes the Top 30 play the most logical here.
It has been no secret that Jordan has hit a rough patch in his last 3 starts. He did finish a respectable 29th at the PGA Championship but that was sandwiched between 2 missed cuts at the Wells Fargo and Schwab.
Jordan is still one of the top players in the world and has 7 Top 25 finishes on the year including 5 in the Top 10. We like Jordan to bounce back here and at plus money, it makes the play a no brainer.
