Taylor Moore has had success at the St. Jude Championship. He was 31st in his 1st appearance in 2022. He followed that up last year with a 5th place finish.
He had not been great down the stretch this season but has posted a 10th and 12th place finish over his last 5 starts. Nick Taylor has had a worse couple of finishes this season.
He missed the cut in 3 of his last 6 and his best finish has been 30th which came at the Olympics. Here at the St. Jude’s, he finished 24th last season after missing the cut in his 3 starts prior.
Sungjae struggled a bit at the Wyndham Championship where he finished tied for 41st. Prior, he had finishes of 3rd, 12th, 4th, and 7th, in the previous 4 tournaments he started.
Here at St. Jude’s, he was 16th in 2021, 12th in 2022 and then 6th last season. Matsuyama had his best finish here last year with a 16th place finish.
Previous to that, he had never finished better than 29th. Hideki excelled in the Olympics where he earned bronze, but was 66th at the Open and missed the cut at the Scottish Open in his previous 2 starts from there.
Xander has finished inside the Top 20 in 13 of his last 15 starts, including 8 straight top 20s. Those 2 where he missed, were finishes of 25th and 23rd, so not too far off.
Morikawa finished 13th last year at the St. Jude Championship and 5th the year prior. Like Xander, Collin has top 20 finishes in 10 of his last 12 starts.
His 2 misses were a 24th and 23rd place finish. We like each of these top tier players to make a top 20 finish once again.
Cam Davis has been successful at the St. Jude Championship. He was 13th in 2022 and grabbed a 6th place finish last season.
He did miss the cut at the Wyndham but had a top 20 at the 3M Open and won the Rocket Mortgage. That makes top 20 finishes in half of his last 4 starts. At over 2 to 1 odds here, he is worthy of a play here.
Conners has finished inside the top 20 in 7 of his last 10 events. His misses were just 26th, 25th, and 27th.
All three of those misses he was just a shot or 2 off from being 10 for 10 in top 20s. He has finished in the top 10 here at St. Jude’s in 2 of his last 3 starts.
We like him to continue his strong play here and love getting him at nearly even money to do so.
Theegala has 10 top 25s in his 21 starts this season, including 7 top 10s. Here at the St. Jude Championship, he has made 2 career starts.
In both of those starts, he finished 13th. Theegala is 9th on Tour in total strokes gained and should be near the top of the leaderboard this weekend once again.
