BMW Championship Predictions Top DFS Plays for August 14

The BMW Championship is officially here! This tournament is one of the biggest non-majors each golf season, as most of the top golfers in the sport attend and try to get another win under their belt. This year’s tournament is taking place at Caves Valley in Maryland, making a return to the course after a four-year hiatus.

We’re excited to watch the action go down, and we wanted to put our favorite Underdog props together to make it that much more exciting. Let’s get into it!

Cameron Young Tournament Finishing Position WORSE 20.5

It might look strange to fade Cameron Young in this tournament, considering how well he’s played in his last two outings, but let us explain. Young placed fifth at St. Jude and won the Wyndham Championship the prior week, but he’s been inconsistent throughout the year.

Before that, he was tied for 46th and 52nd in back-to-back events, making him a difficult person to trust. We’re fading him this week, if for no other reason than strong competition and a rollercoaster of a season to this point.

Scottie Scheffler Tournament Finishing Position WORSE 5.5 (1.46x Boost!)

Many people see Scottie Scheffler as a favorite to win this tournament, and it’s clear that Underdog believes he’s going to finish in the top five. If you were to take the better on this line, you only get .64x of your bet back, a sign that he’s a heavy favorite.

However, golf is a fickle game, and even the best players in the world can have off weeks. We’re banking on Scheffler not to be as dominant in this tournament, especially after seeing that he’s been sixth or worse in three of his past five outings.

Scheffler could still finish top 10 but cash for the “worse” on this prop, which is why we’re taking the juice and fading him, so to speak.

Rory McIlroy Finishing Position BETTER 10.5

While we’re slightly fading Scheffler this week, we’re all-in on Rory McIlroy. McIlroy is among the best golfers on tour, finishing in the top 10 an impressive eight times this season. He won the Masters, finally getting that monkey off his back, and also played well at The Open in July.

McIlroy doesn’t play many tournaments outside of the Majors, so he’s coming to play this week and shouldn’t have a problem finishing in the top 10, if not putting himself in a great position to win the whole thing.
