2023 Tour Championship 8 Best Bets We Love

Well, this one's for all the marbles! The PGA Tour season wraps up with the 2023 Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia. Scottie Scheffler is the favorite to take home the hardware with odds of +130.

Here are 8 Best Bets we love for this incredible event! Best of luck with your picks this week!

-4 Group Starters Winner: Max Homa +275

Cantlay, Harman, Clark, and Fitzpatrick all face off against Homa in this group. Homa has been running hot lately with finishes of 5th, 6th, 10th, and 12th in his last 4 starts of the season.

Brian Harman is the next closest in terms of recent form as he has grabbed finishes of 5th, 1st, 12th, 9th, and 2nd in his last 6 starts.

Homa is in 8th on Tour in total strokes gained with his putting being his top weapon. He ranks 5th on Tour in putting and we believe that will be the difference here for him against the group.

-3 Group Starters Winner: Russell Henley +450

Fleetwood, Bradley, Fowler, and Schauffele all face off against Henley in this group. Henley has 5 Top 10 finishes this season with 3 of those coming in his last 3 starts.

There is arguably no golfer hotter than Henley right now, especially in comparison to how he had played over most of the season.

While his putting has not been great (109th), he has been strong on his approaches to the green where he ranks 31st on Tour. Fleetwood seems to be the big threat here as he has finished in the Top 10 in 3 of his last 4 starts after finishing 25th last week.

-2 Group Starters Winner: Sungjae Im +275

T. Kim, S.W. Kim, Finau, and Conners all face off against Im in this group. Sungjae is coming off a 7th place finish at the BMW and grabbed a 6th place finish the week prior.

It has been an up and down year for him but with these smaller tournaments down the stretch, he seems to have found a 2nd wind. He has been strong off the tee where he ranks 18th and overall, in strokes gained he has slid into the 15th place slot.

Like Im, Tom Kim has gotten a 2nd wind as well, he has 3 Top 10 finishes over his last 4 starts.

Top 10 Finish: Brian Harman +140

Harman has finished inside the Top 10 in 4 of his last 6 starts with a 12th and 31st sprinkled in there as well. On the season, he has 7 Top 10 finishes.

He starts out in a tie for 6th place here with the initial strokes given to each. He has leaned on his flat stick for the majority of the season and is currently ranked 24th on strokes gained in putting.

Top 10 Finish: Russell Henley +165

Henley begins the Tour Championship in a tie for 11th. Only 1 stroke behind the group tied for 6th, Henley could very easily grab his 6th Top 10 finish of the season.

At 72.22%, Henley ranks #1 on Tour in driving accuracy. If he is able to continue finding the majority of the fairways in this final tournament, he should be a shoe-in for that Top 10.

Top 10 Finish: Sungjae Im +230

Im is looking for his 10th Top 10 finish on the season. Oddly enough, the 3rd round of tournaments has been his strongest day.

He ranks 1st on Tour in Round 3 scoring averages at 67.90. He starts out tied in 16th but is coming off back-to-back Top 10 finishes which gives us faith in him here.

Top 10 Finish: Tom Kim +250

Tom Kim seemed to have fallen off during the 2nd half of the Tour season. However, over the last 4 starts, Kim seems to have found his way again.

He is coming off a 10th place finish last week and has a 2nd and 6th place finish in 2 of his last 3 starts. Kim has been knocking his approaches to the green tight all year as he ranks 10th in strokes gained in that category.

Xander Schauffele OVER 4.5 Birdies in Round 1 +120

Xander ranks 3rd on Tour in 1st round scoring average. Over 18 rounds, he has accumulated an average of 68.67. At the FedEx St Jude, Xander birdied 6 and eagled one in his 1st round.

He also had 6 birds at the Travelers Championship. We love that we are getting plus money here as we believe that it is likely to drop down to around even money prior to Thursday.
