Thursday Night Football has been running on fumes recently in terms of watch-ability, and football fans are looking to the Saints and Cardinals to bring some excitement back to this mid-week game. New Orleans is one of only five NFL teams to have gone over their point total more often than not in 2022, a staggering statistic that speaks to how low the scoring has been through six weeks.

Arizona has had its struggles this season after signing Kyler Murray to a lucrative extension and will have some adjustments to make in their short week of prep before hosting the Saints. The Cardinals do welcome back DeAndre Hopkins after his suspension to start this season and signed Robbie Anderson this week after his falling out with the Carolina coaching staff.

Our Week 6 TNF props finished at 1-2 for the second straight week, with David Montgomery’s rushing total going over in the final four minutes of the Bears’ loss to Washington. That cost us a winning week as Terry McLaurin’s reception total under cashed while JD McKissic did not find the end zone for us. We’re back with another edition of Thursday Night Football player props for Week 7’s matchup in the desert.

Zach Ertz Over 48.5 Receiving Yards

Best Available Odds: +700 at DraftKings

Ertz has been a target machine in the Cardinals’ offense in 2022, racking up 47 in his last five games and currently sitting second on the team with 51 total. Marquise Brown, who leads the team in targets, is now out for 6+ weeks and Ertz will be a main beneficiary in his absence. The return of DeAndre Hopkins is not to be overlooked, but Murray has clearly developed a habit for throwing the ball to Ertz and that shouldn’t change in Week 7.

Wil Lutz Over 1.5 Field Goals

Best Available Odds: +700 at DraftKings

Lutz has been heating up over the last month, compiling four straight games with multiple PATs and making 14 of his last 15 kicks. His lone miss in that period was from 61 yards and hit the uprights twice. Lutz made four field goals in the Saints’ home loss to Cincinnati in Week 6 to set a 2022 season high.
Field goals have been the common scoring play across the last month of Thursday Night Football games, and Lutz is just about automatic at the Superdome over the course of his career (86.7% field goals made).

Taysom Hill Under 32.5 Rushing Yards

Best Available Odds: +700 at DraftKings

Hill has not logged more than nine rushing attempts in any one game this season and has had five or fewer in four of five games played. 117 of his 267 rushing yards this season have come on two carries, and the Cardinals' defense has been much more vulnerable against the pass (6.5 yds/attempt) than the run (4.3 yds/attempt).

Flyer of the Week: Juwan Johnson Anytime TD Scorer & Saints ML

Best Available Odds: +700 at DraftKings

Johnson has continued to stay relevant enough in an offense where red zone touches are kind of up for grabs. He’s a big goal-line target for a team still missing Michael Thomas, and those end zone looks need to go somewhere. We’ll take the flyer on Johnson to find pay dirt for this first time in 2022 along with the Saints getting the road win in Arizona.
