PointsBet is a premier global online gaming operator; they announced the launch Wednesday of their platform-leading mobile app and their digital sports betting product in the great state of Virginia.

This all came together as the Virginia Lottery has issued PointsBet along with racetrack partner Colonial Downs, the necessary betting supplier license, which allows them to offer mobile sports betting in the state.
PointsBet adds to a growing list of Virginia operators who have handled $2.3 billion in bets so far this year, generating more than $14.3 million in tax revenue for the state.
Details of the PointsBet/Colonial Downs Partnership
Colonial Downs is a subsidiary of the California-based Peninsula Pacific Entertainment, which is the only licensed gaming company operating and headquartered in Virginia. They operate Rosie's Gaming Emporiums in Hampton, Richmond, Vinton, and New Kent County, Virginia, and of course, the Colonial Downs Racetrack also in New Kent County, Virginia.
