We are one step closer to knowing who will represent the East and West in their respective conference finals, as the Indiana Pacers took care of business against the Cleveland Cavaliers last night. Two teams have the opportunity to clinch their spot as well, as the New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves can close out their series.
While we would like to talk about both games, we’re specifically focusing on the contest between the Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors, honing in on our favorite player props from this one. Let’s get into our best plays of the night!
Julius Randle has been on a tear over the past three games. The Timberwolves needed someone besides Anthony Edwards to step up, and he’s certainly been the guy for them lately. Randle has put up 24+ in his past three games, including a 31-point outing in Game 4.
He’s not slowing down any time soon, and with the chance to clinch the series at home, look for Randle to show up and show out in front of the Timberwolves faithful, scoring 23+.
This line feels far too high for Jimmy Butler, who’s only had 27+ points in one game this series. His 33 points in Game 3 feel like a distant memory, as this team has fallen apart without Steph Curry on the floor.
Butler is the next man up after Curry, at least on paper, but he’s been the opposite of clutch to this point in the series. We don’t have high hopes for Butler moving forward, which is why we’re fading his point total in tonight’s contest. The wind has been taken out of the Warriors’ sails, leaving them without much hope.
We might be fading Butler’s points, but we feel weirdly strong about Draymond Green’s chances of scoring at least nine in this game. Green has been an unsung hero for the Warriors this series, putting up 9+ in three of four games.
He’s been shockingly efficient from beyond the arc, providing the Warriors with some timely scoring, even in their losses. He might not have the ceiling to score 15+ on any given night, but we like his odds of hitting the nine-point mark, so we’re taking his over as a result.
