The NBA All-Star break is just days away on the heels of the conclusion to the NFL season when more attention from sports bettors turns toward basketball. Including tonight, there are just two more nights and 13 games of action remaining before the league takes a breather and heads to Salt Lake City for the midseason festivities.
The majority of the remaining games, 10 of the 13, are being played tonight, and we don’t want to miss out. Here are our five selections for PrizePicks player props on Wednesday evening.
Best Available Odds: -113 at BetRivers
The Pacers have dropped nine of 10 games and would do well to salvage some kind of momentum before the weekend if they hope to remain in contact with the playoff positions. Their recent skid has dropped them to 12th in the Eastern Conference.
Hield has had largely consistent for this team all season and especially so against the Bulls. In two previous battles this season, Hield has hit 11 threes and averaged 22 points per game. E expect him to have a similar performance tonight.
Best Available Odds: -110 at DraftKings
Mitchell and the Cavs see the Sixers tonight for the first time since a late-November thrashing of Philadelphia in which Cleveland held Embiid and company to 41% shooting. The Cavs themselves made over 60% of their field goals, and Mitchell attempted just nine shots in 26 minutes during the rout.
This time will be different, and Mitchell will be called upon to be the star the team expects him to be in the race for a home playoff series or two in the East. Cleveland trails Philadelphia by a game for the 3-seed currently.
Best Available Odds: -105 at DraftKings
Speaking of important matchups, we can’t leave Young off this lineup when he’s playing the Knicks. He’s shot the ball poorly in two games against New York this season but scored 27 points in their only matchup in Atlanta compared to 19 points at MSG in early December.
Young and Dejounte Murray still seem to be learning how to play well as a tandem and translate that into consistent victories, but we predict Young gets the bulk of the touches against the Knicks due to their shared history.
Best Available Odds: -115 at DraftKings
Sexton has seen his minutes and usage increase since Mike Conley was traded to Minnesota last week. The former Alabama point guard had played 30+ minutes once since December in 18 games but has done so three times in Utah’s last four games and averaged 32 minutes, 12.5 shot attempts, and 19.3 points per game during that stretch.
Sexton will continue that recent trend tonight and score 20+ points against the Grizzlies.
Best Available Odds: -110 at BetRivers
The Rockets will have played the Thunder three times in 15 days after the conclusion of this game tonight, and Sengun has struggled in the previous two. The big man had a poor shooting night on February 1 and only played 15 minutes on February 4 when OKC scored 153 points in a blowout of Houston.
Sengun scored 21 points on 17 shots in a late November game against the Thunder, but with his game being concentrated inside the three-point line, it’s difficult to expect he’ll get the shots necessary to score 18+ points. Play his under tonight to round out this group of picks.
The DraftKings and BetRivers dominance continues with player prop pricing... These 2 sportsbooks have consistently offered the lowest juice on NBA props throughout the season and have the lowest juice on all 5 of our player props for tonight.
New players can get $150 in bonus bets when they sign up at DraftKings Sportsbook (with promo code 150BV1), while new BetRivers players can get insurance on their first wager with BetRivers (up to $500). Both sportsbooks have apps available for Android and Apple users, and both apps have a rating of over 4.7+ from current players.
