Best Bet: Baltimore Orioles

Best Available Odds: -130 at Unibet

It's not often you'll see us recommend the Orioles as a best bet because this team is still in full rebuild mode. However, the Nationals have been one of the worst teams in MLB so far this season so we see this as a good spot to fade them. Surprisingly, Baltimore has put up a respectable home record of 17-16 while Washington has been abysmal on the road at 12-20.

The O's are also in much better current form, as they are 6-4 over their last 10 games while the Nats are only 2-8. The heart of Baltimore's order has clubbed 33 home runs so far this year and they should be able to tee off on Nats starter Erick Fedde (4-5, 4.88 ERA and 1.56 WHIP).

Jordan Lyles has been getting rocked of late for the Orioles so that does concern us a bit. However, Baltimore's bullpen has been much more consistent than Washington's and that should be a huge edge for them in this game. Lay the small number with the O's.

Nestor Cortes Over 5.5 Strikeouts

Best Available Odds: -120 at DraftKings

Cortes is a crafty little lefty who has been in the zone since Opening Day. The 27-year-old is 6-2 with a minuscule 1.94 ERA and 75 strikeouts through 69.2 innings this season. No one in the Rays lineup has been able to figure out Cortes, as they are only hitting .149 against him.

Tampa Bay's offense has struggled to put the ball in play so far, as they average 8.72 strikeouts per game (22nd in MLB). Cortes has made four starts against the Rays this season and he is 3-1 with 19 strikeouts. We expect Cortes to come up with at least 7 strikeouts in this one so take the Over!

Josh Bell to Hit a Home Run

Best Available Odds: +600 at PointsBet

How about a fun prop bet to bring us home? We recommend only a half-unit bet on these longshot props for money management purposes. Josh Bell has been on a huge tear of late and we expect his hot streak to continue tonight against Baltimore.

Over his last 7 games, Bell has hit 4 home runs and driven in 6 runs. The 29-year-old has been a rare bright spot in Washington's lineup and we already mentioned how Baltimore starter Jordan Lyles has been getting lit up over his last three starts (8.22 ERA, 1.89 WHIP).

Although the Orioles are our favorite bet of the evening, we can't resist putting a little coin on Bell to hit a homer tonight against a guy like Lyles. We'll root for an Orioles victory but for Bell to smack yet another home run! Best of luck with all your Tuesday action!
