We had a decent weekend with the Fortinet Championship last week. Our top play was Sahith Theegala taking down Brendan Steele and Alex Noren in the 3-Ball matchup at +150. This week, the Tour takes a quick break for a week and fans are treated to the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow in North Carolina.

The US team is stacked and is facing a diminished International Team that can not pull from European Countries. That leaves Rory, Rahm, and Fitzpatrick all on the shelf. The oddsmakers have made the US -700 favorites this week.

There is no reason to play that high of a number but if you are looking for a reason to watch the entire tournament and want a little skin in the game, it would make the most sense to sprinkle a small amount on the International Team at +700.

Stranger things in sports have happened. Just look at last week’s finish at Fortinet, where Willett missed 2 putts from four feet away to give Max Homa the win. I can only imagine the live odds prior to his first putt.

Here we will be playing a few props that look solid in the value department and will provide us with continuing our winning ways on the links. Here are the live odds and prop bets for the 2022 Presidents Cup.

Top Point Scorer for USA: Justin Thomas (+700 DraftKings)

There are a couple of reasons to like JT here. First, he has a great record when competing in the Presidents Cup. He is 12-4-3 lifetime and has one of his favorite partners, Jordan Spieth, on the roster and will likely be paired with him throughout the week.

Now when we take a look at course history, Justin Thomas is 1 of just 2 that have won an event at Quail Hollow. The other is American, Max Homa. The value here is tremendous and we believe JT will continue to prosper at this event/course.

Day 1 Correct Score: USA 5-0 (+1200 DraftKings)

Honestly, this is just a shot in the dark. However, as the overwhelming favorites, the US has not forgotten what happened in the last Presidents Cup.

They found themselves in a big hole 4-1 after the 1st day, and we believe they will look to get out to a clean sweep on Day 1. This is strictly a fun prop here that we do not encourage anyone to put more than maybe ¼ of what their normal play would be.

Top International Rookie Point Scorer: Joohyung (Tom) Kim (+300 DraftKings)

Tom Kim is the odds-on favorite to be the top scorer in this category and we can see why. First, he has shown maturity beyond his years while playing in some high-pressure tournaments on Tour last season.

Secondly, Kim is likely to be paired against the lesser players of the US and will be in a position to score more points than most of the top international players. Lastly, he is likely to see more opportunities as other lesser players will be asked to sit some of the events out. +300 is too good to pass up in this spot!
